I was at that game but on the opposite sideline. We could not see the ball come out until they showed the replay.

You are an encyclopedia of Packer history milani! I do remember Nelson tearing his ACL on a non-contact play during the PS. I recall Rodgers was outraged as he hated the PS games just on principle, and because of the risk of injury. Hard to argue with him on that.

The worst neck injury went to Sterling Sharpe. What a shame.

I remember that. The injury is called a "stinger" but that name hardly conveys how serious the condition can be.

In Sharpe's case, I think the stinger revealed an abnormally narrow space somewhere in his cervical spine. He was probably "lucky" to not have beed seriously injured before he retired. It was a real shame because he was very good and in his prime. He made the right decision and retired.
