I'll also admit JJ McCarthy didn't look like complete garbage in his game. He actually looked good but it is preseason but again it's a lot better than him looking horrible and I'll give credit where credit is due.

Oh snap they're saying Luther Burden did get out of bounds in time.
Santos drills are 60 yarder to cut it to 4.
What a smart play by the rookie Burden to get out of bounds and give us a chance to get points, loving this kid!!!!!!
Jacksonville kicker hit one from 70 yesterday! August is a great month for kickers.

He's not on the small side either. He looks to go about 6-0 and 240#. He could be a force if he has the savvy to read plays.
We will see because if he has any semblance of natural instincts, he's could be a great one.....

Second year man, Austin Booker has another sack. I believe that was his second of the game so good start Bears take over.

Chase Keenum with an absolutely horrific throw, but is because he saw a pass interference penalty so they still have the ball..... I literally was laughing because of how bad a throw it was at the time.
It just seemed ridiculous......
Another defense on Miami when case threw a ball that was tipped and almost almost intercepted by a defensive lineman.... wasn't this guy halfway decent once upon a time?????
I don't know his name, but I'll find out but the running back in number 35 seems to have a little burst in him and I like what I see so far.... this is against third string players now.

Case Keenum with a 30 yard dot down to the Miami 10 yard line.

Penalty on the Bears so they lose 5 yards then Keenum threads the needle for 14 yards third and one from the 4 yard line... and they get Stonewall for a loss of a yard..... looks like it's gonna be a fourth and 2 from da 5....
And the Bears turn it over on downs

Bears still looking good. Definitely cause for optimism. Execution gets better come September.

Bears did nothing with the ball and then Miami is marching down the field again and Austin Booker strip sacks, the quarterback and Bears recover the second year kid Austin Booker could blow up. He's got a lot of natural skill out of Kansas and I think he was overlooked in the draft as well.
Three sacks and a forced fumble today

Week One on MNF will be quite a matchup. I expect a defensive battle this time around with plenty of FGs. Right now I would give the edge to the Bears at home.

Pretty worthless fourth-quarter where neither team wanted to win basically and if Miami had scored on that last ridiculous play, I just don't think anybody would've gotten over it, but I can handle a tie that's fine. We live to fight another day and we don't have to listen to everybody compare Eberflus with Ben Johnson because I just would've been horrific and I know everybody in Soldier Field was thinking about it on that last play and I bet Ben Johnson was sweating bul.lets so, anyway that was Bears preseason week one game..... hope y'all enjoyed.

Bears are in good shape. Fresh landscape.

It's a shame he only played one series, I would have liked to have seen more of him. On the other hand, the guy who looks to be his backup looked pretty good.

Edit: I guess he played two. It seemed like one.

What I saw with the Bears was a better disciplined team than I have for a few years now. That's a good starting point for a team that needs to adjust to new coaches and systems on both sides of the ball.

JJ will get better. McConnell will dial up plays to get him in space. The Vikings still plan on running the ball to set up the pass. And with their defense not missing a beat it will take the pressure off a young QB trying to win football games on his own.

Should be a good opening MNFer.

Should be a good Monday night football matchup.
I'm also kind of upset that all the news is about Caleb and his "struggles" and not playing yet.
No one is talking about how Tua got manhandled in practice and then couldn't even score against our second team defense(there were a couple starters, but not the bona fide starting defense).
I don't know maybe talk about that more than Caleb not playing.
