Not surprised by Manning or Hawkins based on being outplayed in training camp, but I have to admit that cutting Hawkins is too bad -- the kid has that raw something special if it can ever be harnessed.

The word on the street is he refused to practice with the simple bumps and bruises that go with training camp.

I thought White would probably make it before Manning. But Hawkins surprises me. I guess that means Carroll and Horton will play in the dime.

Hawkins suposedly a very talented player who doesn't make plays. So that's a good cut. I thought Manning might have a chance, but you have to play makers and apparently neither one of these guys did that.

Hawkins was a great athlete, but not a football player. Manning didn't endear himself to the new staff at all.
