Sad to see him go. He did alot for autism research and I have a son who's autistic. I always loved watching Flutie play.

good guy with a big heart - hard to imagine him retiring. i didn't even know or understand what autism was until he brought it to the forefront via his PSA's & foundation.

big3 - hang in there, buddy.

No offense meant but if you based things on ESPN polls then Chris Berman would be in the hall of fame. CFL and USFL stats aren't really considered for the Hall of Fame. Neither are CYO stats!!

I would agree NO to HOF. Not enough NFL numbers to justify. But he was a hard worker with tremendous heart who definately gave his all at all times.

I just don't think we can consider CFL and USFL numbers for any player.

why not? its the PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME not the NFL.

I paid my son to go out back and play football with his friends. He dominated!

Ran for 64,000 yards and passed for 477 TDs. Think he has a shot????

By PRO football they MEAN the NFL. Are you going to start putting ARENA football players in the "Pro Football" hall of fame? Flutie had a great Canadian career, but was average at best in the NFL. He is a great guy and all, but didn't have the NFL career numbers to get inducted.

lol funny although you missed my point. You paid your son. Just like professionals, they get paid.

Back to the question. Was it Professional Football? You could own the team ;)
