1) Davante Adams, Green Bay Packers (69.6 percent catch rate)

. Adams led all receivers this year with a 69.6 percent catch rate on targets (23) where he had less than a yard of separation

According to Pro Football Focus, the third-year wideout still dropped nine passes this season, but unlike in 2015, Adams has made the spectacular plays to counteract any negative ones. Rodgers begged the football media world this offseason not to give up on Adams, and the young receiver showed us why this year, making a number of highlight real contested catches, particularly in scoring position. Adams tied for third in the NFL in targets inside the 10-yard line.

Rodgers continually talking up Adams, telling people not to give up on him. Gave Adams a lot of confidence as this season has progressed. Davante always talks about the trust and confidence that Aaron has in him.

And people say he's a bad leader.

On his way to becoming a stud.

He will need to become a real stud on Sunday. And he will. The progress he has made this season is remarkable. He looks a polished veteran.

Aaron's not a vocal leader, more of the quiet type.

And he's the first to admit that, but the notion from many on this forum that he is an overall bad leader, to me, are just baseless and without any form of foundation.

Total 180 from last year. I didn't think he would turn it around like this. Glad the Packers know more than I do!

Catches with less than a yard of separation? That's a stat?
How about catches when there are less than 5 bags of peanuts sold in Section 103?
Hey weeds, step away from the abacus and join the modern world. Advanced metrics and math are starting to rule professional sports. ;)

But according to some on this forum, Adams is "just a guy" who's nickname is Droppal Paddlehands. Maybe time to reconsider?

pretty sure we have crossed that bridge quite a while ago. Continuing to hammer that point is mostly speaking to the choir. And for the few that may still feel that way... there is no point in continuing to try and teach a turnip.

I'm extremely pleased with Adams across the board; run after catch, effort,on and on.
But he's still not a #1; it's just not what he is.

I once taught a turnip to sit still and stay quite. Don't ask me why.

Agree with your statement but the overall premise of allowing young players to grow and develop often is not a straight line upwards. There are still many here who we'll likely hear from this off-season that want to get rid of some young guys that have had a rough time this season.
