Since I was bored, I wanted to take a quick look at available free agents out there on Offense and Defense at the CB & Safety positions.

Kinney at TE, if healthy might be an interesting prospect, has size, speed and hands. However he was hurt last year and I don't know if he is healthy enough for camp.

If our return game in camp looks to struggle, what are the thoughts on Peter Warrick?

If we look in trouble at RB, would Staley be the best choice out there?

At Safety, Derrick Gibson is out there... would he be worth a look? Tebucky Jones? This is the one position we must improve at in my opinion on D?

I just don't see any big time help left out there, maybe a spot player here or there.

Thanks for the updated list.

It seems GB is going to grow at safety from within. Underwood,Rouse,Culver,Waterboy.....someone is gonna beat out Manuel, then team up with Collins.

Eric Moulds is old and no good anymore. McCardell signed with the Texans.

McCardell denies Texans rumors

Keenan McCardell denied reports Monday that he was joining the Texans. McCardell said he hasn't agreed to terms with the Texans or any other team. He said he hasn't even spoken to the Texans in a week.

CNNSI.. this morning... not that we need / want him anyway.

The one that jumps out at me is Dominick Williams -- or the player formerly known as Dominic Davis.

He carried Houston's running game before hurting his knee and the fact that he was there was part of the reason Houston felt they could pass on Reggie Bush. Of course, that would mean that we would have imported almost all of Houston's backfield (Davis and Morency) from 2 years ago.

Worst case scenario, his knee is not ready and we let him go in camp.

More than likely we would see someone getting cut that might be worth a look than we would off of the current FA list. The Packers themselves are going to have to let a couple of pretty good players go at some positions. We can't keep them all. Maybe somebody will emerge from a camp that will help us at a postion we could use it.

I could be wrong, but isn't Patrick Pass a great fullback??

I saw him play for New England. I remember the name because I saw him run. He's pretty good indeed.

We don't want our fullbacks running though. We want them blocking and catching out of the backfield.

Pass can't do any of that.

The Free Agent that jumps up to me is Tony Parrish. Former Bears/Niners Safety. That guy is pure talent and leadership. I know we have some growing depth at the safety position, but he's a great player.

I am definitely down for that. However, I don't think it's gonna happen, especially after reading the recent article where Thompson was once again emphasizing growth from within.

However, I thought I read somewhere that stated The Pack wouldn't mind doing some more full back runs and what not?? Maybe that was just someone on here. But yeah, safety is far more of a concern.

I think that we really should have addressed the TE position in the offseason. To me, that was one glaring misplay in an otherwise decent offseason. But then, nobody's available.

I still think we should get Gardocki, the ex-Steeler. Guy's a game-breaker.

If there is an injury, William Henderson would be welcomed back.

Which there very well might be. With Korey Hall going back to LB and Miree being injury prone, FB is still a position of concern for me. If I had to rate my positions of concern, they would be:

1.) Safety. MAN it'd be nice to see an upgrade here.

2.) Tight End. See Above.

3.) Full Back. Miree seems to be good, but injury prone. No depth. couldn't hurt.

4.) Wide Receiver. While I doubt anything will get done, with the uncertainty of Koren, one more veteran upgrade to learn from couldn't hurt, but if not, we should still be decent. Never hurts to be above decent though.

5.) Running Back. While our one-two punch team will probably be fine, I'm still not sold on it. Injuries worry me and the speculation of LJ leads me to think that Ted isn't totally sold on it either. Once again, decent, but couldn't definitely be better.

All of the above is just wishful thinking I'm sure. It just seems like with one or two key upgrades, we could be waay more secure. Such a young team with so much talent, it'd be nice to watch them be successful rather then falling just short. Hopefully that won't happen, but if it does, we'll all be wondering why 1-3 more upgrades weren't made. Time will tell . .
