ESPN radio reported that GB is offering the Bills Javon Walker and GB's 5th round pick for Eric Moulds and a 3rd round pick this year and Buffalo's 4th round next year.

The general concensus on our boards is that we would like to see this deal happen, and we are all waiting anxiously for the proper phone calls to be made.

I was curious as to how Packer fans feel about this deal? 8)

wow, thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

I like it. We get rid of javon, and we get moulds, and a 3rd round pick, and a 4th next year.

I hope it happens. Ill keep my eyes open on that deal, if you hear something, W-McGahee21, let us know.

thanks again!

wtf? If this deal is true it sucks, TT would never trade away and only get another headcase WR and two middle round picks. LOL!

Javon is worth more than that..

Wow, that sounds like a decent deal. If it's true I'd like to see the Packers pursue it.

I think we should go for a 2nd round this year and 5th next year.

Javon could not even be a 1st rounder anymore. He hasnt proven to anyone that he is healthy, which is why hes probably pushing for a new deal, cuz he might be useless now.

BAD DEAL! If the news is true, then the Bills will probably release Moulds later on anyways. I wouldn't do it, we could get a BIG difference maker for the D at #5. I'd rather keep the #5 pick, and trade J-Walk straight up.

I doubt the Bills would relenquish a 2nd round pick. Not with
Javon coming off his injury. He would be looking at a hefty
raise in Buffalo though, which he does deserve.
At the end of the day however, the terms that I mentioned
might not actually be what the two teams agree upon if
the deal is completed at all.

With you getting Boerichter and possibly E-MO Brett would
have two huge and experienced targets to throw to.

That I would go for. But we have an extra 3rd round pick to give away this year so even if there was no pick coming from the GB side I could see Marv Levy giving away our 3rd regardless.

That says "5th round" not "1st round" ....

we have the 5th pick in the "1st round"

this deal is talking about the "5th round" pick, not the 5th overall selection in the draft.

(in case anyone was confused)

Yeah at first I was like that is a big FING NO and a screw you Buffalo. But, then I re-read it, and I was like...well Javon isn't going to be happy here, so we move up two rounds in the draft, get another proven WR and a 5th round pick next year. It couldn't hurt. I would be for it.

Nor are you getting the 3rd overall pick. Buffalo picks 8th overall.

BUFFALO GETS:
Javon Walker
5th ROUND pick (2006)

GB GETS:
Eric Moulds
3rd ROUND pick (2006)
4th ROUND pick (2007)

so Bills fans like this deal? Do they not like Moulds?

What interests me the most is, it says GB is offering, GB is on the aggressive front here..which is interesting to me.

Yes we like this deal for a few main reasons.
And yes we love Eric. He's been the staple of our
franchise since the day he was drafted. However,
he's too expensive to have when there is more
weighing needs at One Bills Drive:

A) It would rid Buffalo of Eric's $10 mil. + cap hit
(GB would not be picking that up, fyi)
B) We (the fans) would like to have youth on the field with
Lee Evans. Javon and Lee could potentially be
stars in Buffalo for years to come.
C) We arent quite sure Lee Evans can step up into
the number 1 role yet. A proven X reciever
with little learning curve would benefit Buffalo greatly.

On GB "being aggressive" on this deal....

I'm assuming the rest of the teams know Eric's
situation in Buffalo, and Buffalo hasnt been hesitant
to shop him around the league in quiet.

Seriously, wtf is GB doing. Yeah, everyone says JWalk is immature... this is not GB style... GB won't put up with this... blah blah blah.

The bottom line is JWalk is a rare talent and has unlimited possibilities. At least give him one more year to work through his injury before making any rash decisions. This kid is going to be a poster boy for whomever he plays for, and I would like to keep him so that he becomes that for GB. But, everyone else here seems to think otherwise. Make JWalk happy.

HUUUUUGE mistake, in my opinion.

The only reason Javon is good is because of favre. favre even said javon is or was his favorite target. a receiver is nothing without a good QB.

Oh, my apologies, I misread that badly. That is what hours on a legal assignment for school does for you....

Actually, the deal doesn't look so bad. I would definitly do it then. It is a deal that would benefit both teams. If Javon can get back in the zone he was 2 years before, then the Bills get one heck of a player. There are still solid players to be had in the 3rd and 4th round of the draft. IMO, Brett would be VERY excited to have that deal completed.

IMO, GB should have paid Walker his money last year.
Its not like there isnt money to spend up there.
Why stand up to Rosenhaus when Walker earned a raise?

The entire GB season could have been different if
Walker went to camp and was actually ready for the season
to begin. May not have gotten injured and whatnot.

Also, on Buffalo's QB situation. Our fans and not to
mention players recognize that the team needs to play
one QB and him only. The consenus is that that will be
Losman. There are alot of JP haters in Buffalo too...
And we also realize this team is a few years off. But saying
Walker would suck in Buffalo would be a mistake. With JP,
Lee Evans, and Walker and with Willis being the stud he is...
the offense could be deadly with a few years experience together.

Remeber! Rome wasnt built in a day!

I'm not going to agree with that. Arizona had 3 QB's last season and two different 1000 yd recievers...

Yeah there QB's were actually good well McCown and Warner were and u cant say they had three QB's because navvare barely played plus mccown and warner are wayyyyy better than lossman

I'm not going to argue with you about this but....

Thats just not true. If Warner can't win the starting job from McCown
(a McCown will never be productive in the NFL) he's obviously lost
his touch. I'm not going to say that JP is better but I'm not agreeing that
he is worse. I obviously cant bring up your QB situation and I'm
quite sorry now that I brought up Buffalo's.

Anyway thats not what this topic is about. I just wanted some info on
Javon's progress and whether or not GB fans or the organization would
enjoy this deal.
