The Lions over the Bears but not by a huge margin. The Lions are a young and growing team with a great future. They started out strongly the beginning of last season but fizzle by the end. I think they will continue to grow stronger and become more of a threat to us in a year or two. Stafford to Megatron! Also Suh when he isn't being suspended. As or the Bears, I think their weakness is Cutler. They have Urlacher, Peppers, Hestor but a lot of their players are injury prone. Both the Lions and Bears will be improved teams from last year but as to who is better, I still think it's going to be the Lions!

Btw, Ivo, I love how you left the Vikings out of the conversation. I see what you did there! ;)

I would've said the Lions but feel that the Bears WR additions puts them slightly over the top. There is no doubt that Stafford to Megatron is the cats meow, but the Bears have that great defense and great return game. I also think that Lovie is a better coach and more importantly, that the Bears roster isn't imploding like the Lions. I think that the Lions are too challenged to take that next step yet...like a new wall that has cracks and plaster falling off of it before everything even had a chance to dry.

Bears.

Biggest flaw in each team? Lions - secondary bears - o line.

To me the secondary in today's nfl makes or breaks you.

Give me da Bears.

Detroit went from six wins in 2010 to ten in 2011. That's a huge single-season turnaround.

It's easier for me to see them backsliding than the Bears, who are coming off an 8-8 season despite sustaining significant injuries on offense. Chicago has added some receivers and I think the switch to Tice at offensive coordinator was smart.

Yup, great point about the secondary. Plus the Bears are getting Carimi back on the O-line and I think that Mike Tice has done an incredible job with not much talent. He's really held their weak point together. Let's not forget that the Bears went 7-3 before tanking for the season. As someone said on TV last night, it will all be about whether you see the 7-3 Bears or the 1-5 Bears that finished the season.

Definitely the Lions. If they weren't so immature and short fused they'd be a lot more dangerous than they are.

For our sake, I hope they keep acting like idiots.

I believe the Bears will be better then the Lions. Much better coaching staff, IMO.
