Minnesota has one of the WORST in the league so something is definitely off with this list. If you are telling me they went from 29th at the end of last season to 14th as of today, in the words of Ozzie Guillen: "pffffft please."

On their podcast, a couple of the PFF analysts explained that all of these rankings are based purely on the grades for the past two seasons and that they assume health. They weighed in with their own personal opinions, and both thought this was far too high for Minnesota. I would think that the main reasons the grades artificially inflated them are that a) a large part of their problem has been injuries and this assumes health, b) Reiff, their probable left tackle, carries solid grades at right tackle from the past, and c) Remmers, their probably right tackle and a poor pass protector, has had his grade insulated in Carolina due to their run heavy offense.

The latest on Montgomery is that he's up to 223 and spent the offseason working with a RB guru who specializes in footwork. Apparently this guy worked with Melvin Gordon last offseason. Hopefully this all translates to him being ready to carry the load.
