Unless CBS sports is wrong in their standings, the Crew are 2 games up on the Dodgers.... BUT ... took the season with the Dodgers 4 games to 3 so, the Crew have the tie breaker.

You're correct, lead was only 2.5 on the Dodgers prior to their win, last night, to make it a 2 game lead now.

Yep. It’s 2.0 games on its face but until last night. However technically the Dodgers were back 3.0 games from a #1 seed last night due to Milwaukee owning that tie breaker, so it’s really still the feel of + 2.5 games

Any easy way I like to look at it is this.
Count down from 5 going forward 9/20/26 am. ANY Brewers Win OR Dodgers Loss going forward is subtracted from Magic #5

Once Milwaukee reaches a Count of zero they lock a #1 seed.

Milwaukee can Win 5 games

LA can Lose 5 games.

Milwaukee can Win 1 and LA lose 4 games

Milwaukee can Win 2 and LA lose 3

Milwaukee can Win 3 and LA Lose 2

Milwaukee can Win 4 and LA lose 1

That’s just how my brain simplifies it.

Actually in many ways the Brewers have been similar to the Packers in the way they go about starting and finishing etc.

Although on the other hand, there’s very little way I can spin gaining a #1 Seed as being a bad thing imo.

I just think it’s been a Wonderful 2026 season. I love all the Milestones along the way. I saw a grid showing the Pitchers who threw the fastest pitches in 2026. The top 10 list??

Misiorowski 1-10 owns the entire list

11-20? Misiorowski

21-50? MiZ!

51-100. You guess it!!

Also most that follow baseball have Milwaukees Bullpen as #1 in the National League.

Milwaukee locked up that Bye and a #2 Seed when Atlanta lost last night. Plus followed it up with their 99th Win to go stay +1.5 games ahead of the Dodgers. Milwaukee holds the Tiebreaker also.

The Brewers needs magic number 4
to grab a #1 Seed. Any combination of a LA Dodgers Loss OR Milwaukee Win each count towards that number.

We are Padres fans this Week!

...after last night's win and the Dodgers loss, the Crew are up 2 games plus the tie breaker, with 4 games left.
Hey @weeds it’s the Perfect setup ! Not to be greedy but My hope is we lock #1 down with a game or two to go. We can start strategizing to minimize usage at the top of our Bullpen, much like you’d do with a strategy of Batting Order. Having near a week of rest (several games + Bye) is rarity. It’s like having a couple work days off prior to a long holiday weekend.

1 more win OR Dodgers loss & it's homefield advantage throughout playoffs, right?
I believe so... Dodgers start in an hour...if they lose tonight I believe the crew get homefield... BUT right now?, I'm happy hitting 100.

Dodgers LOSE!!! Brewers have homefield advantage throughout their playoff run!

Hope it's a great October to distract EVERYONE from the Lambeau disaster unfolding for us in '26.

3 games left. 3 game lead. Brewers own the tiebreaker. Yeah... 100 and home field on the same night. Red letter day if you're a Brewers fan. I could not be happier for those guys and Murph. Big props to San Diego.

Wire to wire, the season has been spectacular. I can’t recall any consecutive losses.

...and last night, a comeback win. Yeah, this has been a fantastic season. The thing that concerns me a little ... OK, more than a little, is that these guys have been largely flying under the radar as far as outside media goes because they're "small market", because they're "money ball", because they're "small ball", well, because they're NOT the Dodgers or Yankees or Red Sox - a lot of that might have everything to do with their unceremonious exit in the NLCS to the Best Team Money Can Buy last season... but that is going to change soon. Is there some way to keep the National sports media out of the locker room?

Eh they were in over their heads in the Nlcs and played like it, what can be expected from a bunch of unseasoned young players. This young group will get better and the cupboards are full to boot.

If the Brewers close out this season with a Win they join just 42 Baseball Teams since 1961 (start of the 162 games regular season) that has Won 103+ Games in a single season.

At 103, Milwaukee would finish with only 12 teams who have Won more games in a Single season, Since 2000.

To think that the Orioles of 1969-71 won 318 games yet lost the WS in two of those years.

Their manager, Hall of Famer Earl Weaver, who at one time managed the Appleton Foxes ... the precursor to our very own Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. The Foxes played in a 1920's era stadium (I don't know when it was built, but you know what I'm talking about if I used the term "on stilts") on Spencer Street in Appleton. Goodland Field was where my baseball lovin' Dad took me to my first "professional" baseball game. It was also the stadium where I got my first autographed baseball - from a rookie named Alex Rodriguez. The ball was stolen off my desk at work. The next season ... new stadium ... new name...

...anyway, the Orioles had 4 20 game winners on their pitching staff one year,
