I don't think any of you that are hoping TT doesn't sign Barlow have anything to worry about. Think about it.

Why, is Ted still in town?

Wait, wait, wait. You're seriously upset that TT probably won't sign Barlow? Really?!?!?!?
:chalflag:

Uhhhhhhh, No. I think I made that clear. Barlow stinks as do all the other RB's available. Unfortunately I'm not sold on Morency as an every down back. I would assume we will draft one with the 323 picks TT destined to aquire.

yawnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!! I was unaware Ted drafted these guys. We've been through this 1000 times

1000 th time Ted did the drafting

On the day before the draft, His title was vice president of football operations, and with rare exception in the drafts from 2000 through 2004 the selections were made by Thompson, according to Seahawks vice president Mike Reinfeldt.

Thompson informed Reinfeldt that he was targeting Alexander at 19 and McIntosh at 22.

Or how bout this?? Larry Mccarren chat on packersnews.com

brett, bellmawr, nj: hey larry, im so sick of people blaming the teams bad play on thompson...how do you feel concering his GMing abilities?

LM: I think time will show that he's a good judge of talent. I did an interview with Mike Holmgren before the Seattle game and asked him how big of a role TT played in the Seahawks rise to Super Bowl Contender. He said very important, that TT ran his draft - and he wound up his statement saying Ted Thompson will get it done in Green Bay. Fairly emphatic stuff.

This is where you say, M.H was the boss and could have said no or had to agree to it..

Or just as popular, Reinfeldt wasnt going to bad mouth Ted in a newspaper article, and M.H was lying to Larry...Because, both of them want to make an EX employee look good in everyones eyes. So they will do and say anything to do that

Can we please keep away from turning this into a TT "cheap/astute spender" thread.

Does Barlow fit the ZB scheme?

He doesn't fit. Barlow's not a good cutback runner...
which you need to be in a Denver Bronco/A.Falcon/Packer
scheme.

He's a straight ahead runner..but straight ahead runners
need to have a burst and Kevin's burst is mediocre.

In addition, he's never resolved his ball carry technique
which doesn't tuck the ball in and he has his elbow floating
out w/the ball..and he's been susceptible to fumbles
throughout his career.

Assessment:

Slow, Fumble Prone, aging back....not a good combination.

Please don't sign Kevan Barlow.

He carries the ball w/a wide open arm stance
and doesn't tuck the ball in...totally prone
to fumble and has many times.

He was HORRIBLE in San Francisco...has no
break away speed and fumbles. NOt a good combination.
Actually he was a productive player with 49ers until he signed a big contract with them.

Barlow and Hearst formed a great 1-2 punch.

Garrison Hearst was really the potent part of the punch.
As Hearst was released and Barlow was featured..he was also exposed for the things I mentioned above. It wasn't his contract. It was his flawed game...
