Taking a shot at this. Week 14 was unfriendly to all of us in a number of ways. The Bizarro World of the NFL confuses and confounds us each week. Let us see how we fare down the stretch. One bright note was to see Old School join the fray. He is too good of a prognosticator to sit on the sidelines.

Guess the score of each team of each game.
Each game winner you pick correctly earns 5 points.
Pick correctly the winner for at least half the scheduled games and you receive an additional 20 points bonus.
Pick correctly the winner for at least 75% of the scheduled games and you receive an additional 40 points plus the 20 points as well.
If you pick the correct winner for all but one game you earn an additional 100 bonus points plus the 20 and 40 from above!
Guess the winner of ALL the games and you win 150 bonus points plus the 20, 40, and 100 from above!
Guess the correct winner and SCORE of any game and you receive 125 points for each!
And if you should pick the correct winner and score of EVERY game you get 5,000 points mega jackpot!

I didn't think the Raiders were capable of scoring 63 points for the rest of the season, let alone in one game! I do believe Staley is going to be out of a job pretty darned soon. His entire crew will be in the unemployment line soon afterwards.

As I said, Staley is history. You don't get a loss like that pinned on you, late in the season, and walk away with your job. It's an insult to the entire Chargers family. It doesn't matter if injuries play into it. Someone's head has to roll. I see they also fired Tom Telesco, the GM. Understandable decision. They need a major culture change to flip the script.

I don't think Herbert is that bad of a QB. I think they have horrible depth at WR. The offensive line is struggling. When Ekeler won't even get close to 1,000 yards for the season, something's wrong. They have several stalwart defenders. Bosa, Mack lead the pack. But, not that much strength in the d-line.

What people should be looking at is how many games they lost by less than one score. Turn those around, and we'd be hearing how Herbert was a great QB. That final score makes all the difference. At the end of 6 weeks, they were 2-4, and lost by 7, and 4. The rest 3 or less, and one in OT.

Only once did Ekeler go over 100 yards, and that was at the start of the season

Their problem is when they draft. They will end up anywhere from #6 to about #10. Outside possibility of moving up to #5. A new GM, and HC, along with new assistants, will have to determine where to attack their shortcomings. I'm going to make a guess that their best option will be for an offensive lineman. But, I think the new leadership will opt for a play maker instead. I just hope, for their sake, they realize that Justin Herbert needs help, not to be thrown under the bus. The same applies for Ekeler. If he can't get to the line before getting smacked around, there's now way he's going to be an effective running back.

The season is lost but I can take great comfort in 5 things as I lay my head on my pillow tonight I can still count my blessings:
1. I hit a Forum score
2. The Cowboys got Shellacked (so no one can rub our loss in at my work tomorrow!)
