Did any of you see that guy in the pro bowl yesterday? Dang, that kid is good! I was watching how he juked players, ran through tackles, he is really something on kick returns.
The Bears are lucky to have that threat at that position.
His return in the SB was pretty amazing too.

It is very brave of you, cheesey, to admit that you watched the Pro Bowl. I didn't, but I agree about Devin Hester. Remember how Donte Hall of the Chiefs was like that when he first came into the league? But for whatever reason, you hardly ever hear about him anymore. Maybe opposing teams have figured out how to mess up his returns with directional kicks and so forth. I wonder if the same thing will happen to Hester next year.

When I see Hester, I think of how the Packers drafted a return specialist last year (albeit in a lower round) and he couldn't even catch the darn ball.

I think you'll find that most really good, flashy, return men get figured out in a hurry. Dante Hall is the classic example. The ones that are good over a long period of time may not run back kicks for TDs very often, but they always manage to break a tackle or two, or find a seam on every kick, giving them an extra 5 yards per return relative to the rest of the league ( Brian Mitchell comes to mind ). If the jitterbugs were so dependable, you'd see a lot more of them both on ST and on offense. Peter Warick also come to mind.

The Pro Bowl was yesterday? Oh, missed it.

Hester's awesome. Yeah, he reminds me of one of our own, who we let go of after the got SB MVP.

Kampman and Driver were in it...It probably comes as a shock to you that the Packers had some decent players. :rotflmao:

I wouldn't say we let him go. He wanted to go to a team that would use him as a WR. He went to Oakland and flopped.

I watched the first quarter of the Pro Bowl and almost fell asleep. I had to change the channel. I'd hate to see the Pro Bowl go, but it's always so damn boring. Well, I saw my boy Kaeding kicked the game winner though. That was the highlight for me. Heard Palmer had a pretty good game though.

And how did Desmond do in Oakland? Not very well, because the blocking on ST is pretty important also. Howard always had seams in GB, just like Freeman and Brooks before him.

Didn't shock US! We SHOULD have had more players in it. Like Al Harris for example.
