I called the 49ers to win this game and they did. The Saints just let Alex Smith beat them. That's horrible. BTW, the Patriots have already scored. 7-0 Pats

Alex Smith didn't beat the Saints, the 49'ers D and the Saints beat the Saints.

Now what are they all going to say about Brees being MVP and the Saints having the best O-Line? I really really hope the Packers stick it to the Giants now.

    What the hell just happened?

Also: Dome team, and it was noticeable today. Lot of times Sproles and co get a short dumpoff but the coverage can't get there and they turn into a huge gain. Happened a lot less today in the grass. Also helped that the 49ers didn't drop any of Brees' ints (he threw 4 that the Lions dropped).

And, Alex Smith, clutch QB? The answer is still no, but that was ridiculous. Gregg Williams should get the "credit", too. How the hell do you call casino blitzes in a 2 minute drill against Alex Smith?

What is happening with great DCs? First LeBeau with a horrible call first play of OT, and now Williams. Wake up Capers.

I hope Packers fans have gotten a better notion of the opposition and of their own team today. Flawed team. Still best in the league by quite a bit.

The NFL FOX team couldn't contain themselves about how "great" the Niner offense played. Really? They force FIVE turnovers and had to win on a last minute drive? Is that the new standard for "great"? Or am I being too much of a Packer fan?

They should have blown the Saints out forcing 5 turnovers. Still, it was a great game. I'm really not looking forward to hearing Joe Buck and Troy Aikman slobber all over the Giants tomorrow.

Everyone was so worried about the Saints. 5 turnovers? Really?

The great teams just don't do that...particularly in the playoffs. The hype surrounding the Saints is bigger than the substance. They are a good team...not a great one.

9ers looked good today...though they should have won more convincingly. Hell of a game though.

That was priceless. Happy for the 9ers, what an amazing turn around. But I think i appreciate this 9er victory more for shutting up the obnoxious Saints fans.

I just saw a clip from Mike Florio which stated that the Packers need to prove that they are an elite team. WTF? We are the defending Super Bowl Champions and we have to prove that we are elite? I almost lost my mind. I hope the Packers hear all this talk. It's so enraging. Ugh!

That was some game earlier. Harbaugh made me proud.

Bye Bye Saints. Still don't win outside the dome.

Gotta take care of the Giants now.

    Florio can eat s**t.
Winning a Super Bowl with 3 road games, then backing it up and going 15-1 with wins over tons of playoff teams.... what else would have satisfied him?
Having a better defense like the Ravens and losing 3 or 4 games instead of a shaky defense, great offense, and losing once?

He's a moron if he said that.
Or he should define what "elite' means to him.
I'm gonna go to Twitter now and tweet him a new one LOL.

I predicted the Niners would win... and I kept calling for Vernon Davis all day long... loved him today. Wish we had him instead of Hawk,... but I will hate Vernon next week. Malcolm Jenkins is great.... and he was no match.... not sure who we can put on Davis.... so strong, big, and faster than hell. He's hurt us before.

Wait, we gotta handle the Giants first.......

I used the Colts comparison with the Saints before but at least the Colts won a few playoff games. Manning has won road playoff games despite being a dome QB. Brees is 33 and STILL has yet to win a road playoff game.

The NFC is really fantastic though. Really. If the Saints had the second seed I do think they win this game but they need to man up and play outdoors at times with the big boys.

On the plus side we had an NFC upset today. I mean if you can call a 13-3 team beating another 13-3 team an upset but the Saints were 3 to 4 point faves.

The odds now favor the Packers since an upset has happened.

I just find it tough to believe we may have the #1's vs. #2's in both conferences. wow. Unless somehow the Texans can upset the Ravens and heck who knows but I won't count on it. But the Texans have the pieces.

Alex smith didnt win the game? Did you see the last two niner drives of the game?...A rushing TD by smith..then the niners D gave the lead rite back...then Smith hit Davis for the game winner...How excatly did the niners defense win that game for them?
