I was thinking along the lines of FA losses garnering compensatory picks.

I knew where you were going with this as part of Gute's M.O. is to gain comp picks. Keeping track this way is a great idea. Thanks.

Of the guys left IMO Dillon and Nijman are the only possibles to gain a comp pick if signed by someone else. With all of the RBs out there the market for Dillon may not be enough to gain a pick. Hopefully a needy team overpays for Josh like the Giants did for Runyan.

We can only hope. There is definitely a shortage of good offensive linemen in the league.

Nijman signed with Carolina for 2/8M with a potential of 15 million.

That’s possibly a 7th comp depending on snaps etc..

Owens signed a 2yr X $4.75Mil..
so likely just under the bottom threshold for a 7th.

It is an interesting way to look at it. Signing a modest priced FA in that $Nijman$ range could cost us a 7th Round Comp in 2025

thanks for the specifics on Owens. I hadn't seen anything on him yet. I agree. Actions have consequences but I think Gutekunst would likely pull the trigger on a guy he thought might be a starter or first backup at S, CB or LB.

Do we have any free agents from last season that are still unsigned?

Nijman is a possible comp pick now.

Right, because we released him. I just listed him when I saw the post on how many FA's of ours were still unsigned.... forgetting this was the Draft Compensatory pick thread. Sorry
no need to apologize, I was just making sure folks reading didn't get confused is all. He's still a connected guy to us that is a FA
