I think the team is going to improve quite a bit. As far as those leaving, via the portal? The reason is pretty clear. They aren't going to see the field enough to make them a viable member of the team. They're going to play elsewhere. I don't blame them. If you want to play, go where you will get the chance. The talent level has improved that much for the Badgers already.

Now I haven't kept track of all the Badgers that left through the portal and some haven't signed elsewhere yet, but besides Nolan Rucci and Jordan Mayer who both signed with Penn State, seems like they are going to "lessor" programs.

Rucci was a big disappointment at UW. He came in with a lot of Hoopla and never really saw the field in his 3 seasons with the Badgers. He was also stuck behind a lot of talent, but at 6'8", 300+ lbs., there were high hopes for him.

A great hire by Luke. While the Packers are looking for their new DC, Luke snags a once DC and makes him his safeties coach.
