Perusing various media there seems to be a de-veloping consensus of opinion that the Packers could be poised to be one of the teams in the NFL that will have a significant turnabout from a down year last season. As they take shape the starting line-up and players with the most plausible chances of making the roster already looks pretty nearly set. Offense Starters: QB Aaron Rodgers RB Ryan Grant FB Korey Hall or Quinn Johnson (Rookie) WR Greg Jennings WR Donald Driver TE Donald Lee or Jermichael Finley C Scott Wells or Jason Spitz (G) LG Daryn Colledge (T) RG Josh Sitton, Spitz or Duke Preston(T) LT Chad Clifton RT Breno Giacomini, T.J Lang(Rookie), Allen Barbre (LT/G) Defense Starters: Line Cullen Jenkins, Ryan Pickett, B.J. Raji, Johnny Jolly, Justin Harrell LB Aaron Kampman, A.J. Hawk, Nick Barnett, Brady Poppinga, Clay Matthews(Rookie) CB Charles Woodson (S,PR), Al Harris or Tramon Williams (KR) FS Nick Collins SS Atari Bigby Specialists: K Mason Crosby LS Brett Goode P Jeremy Kapinos, Durant Brooks, Adam Graessle Offense Reserves: QB Brian Brohm, Matt Flynn Backs Brandon Jackson, DeShawn Wynn, Kregg Lumpkin, John Kuhn(FB), Tyrell Sutton (Rookie) WR Jordy Nelson (KR), James Jones (KR) Ruvell Martin, Brett Swain TE Tory Humphrey, Evan Moore, Carson Butler(Rookie), Brande Ledbetter (Rookie.) Line Jamon Meredith (Rookie. LT/G), Tony Moll (RT/RG) Nevin McCaskill (T) Defense Reserves: Line Jeremy Thompson, Mike Montgomery, Jarius Wynn(Rookie), Brian Sol, Alfred Malone, Anthony Toribio LB Brandon Chillar, Desmond Bishop, Brad Jones (Rookie), Dan Lansanah, Spencer Havner CB Pat Lee, Will Blackmon (PR), Brandon Underwood(Rookie), Jarrett Bush, Joe Porter Safety Anthony Smith, Aaron Rouse, Charlie Peprah.

I really have to agree. I just hope that with our new rookies we can actually run over somebody and get to the quarterback. I mean c'mon we only had 27 sacks the whole season.

I think it'll be though early in the season. We have very promising guys on both lines, guys that can be special, but they're still raw. Luckily we have an easy schedule early on. Ultimately we will make the playoffs, and if we progress enough, even make a deep run. But don't expect our lines to play well, at least not in the first games...

I am looking forward to see what Cushing can do in the 3-4. I hope he gets some good amount of playing time and is effective.

You mean Matthews right? Anyways yeah I also want to see how Clay does, I think he could be an assett to the linebacking corps. As a Hawkeye fan Clay Matthews somewhat reminds me of Chad Greenway (unfortunately a Viking now :( )
