Jan 26, 2016 8:57 PM - Zeck180: Viking fans sound like they're already tried of teddy and want the team to draft for a QB in the 1st round. The 3 year cycle continues.
Jan 26, 2016 9:05 PM - adambr2: Maybe they will try to ressurect RG3, someone will give him another chance.
Jan 26, 2016 9:25 PM - Zeck180: You should know they only what QBs that are long past their prime and have done things.
Jan 26, 2016 10:12 PM - Green and Gold: Bridgewater isn't great at any one thing...he does a lot of things well...but nothing standsout.
Jan 26, 2016 10:13 PM - Shawnsta3: He's a standout screen passer lol
Jan 26, 2016 10:27 PM - adambr2: Carr obviously would have been the better choice, but I didn't have a problem with the pick at the time. 32nd pick is actually a good spot to trade up to if you're trying to get your QB of the future because you get that 5th year option.
Jan 27, 2016 7:07 AM - SeahawkFan80: And we usually try to give that pick away. LOL
Jan 27, 2016 8:26 AM - 4Ever4Favre: Hmmmm, interesting. BG: 21420200000025204941162800000251246BEN9W26MT941841002BEN946S30093
Jan 27, 2016 8:26 AM - 4Ever4Favre: Lol, I meant to post http://www.nbcsports.com/video/mike-mccarthy-ted-thompson-tension-needs-be-resolved-2016
Jan 27, 2016 8:30 AM - Zartan: Joke time... Two cannibals are eating Amy Schumer One turns to the other and asks, "does this taste funny to you?" The other responds, "no."...
Jan 27, 2016 9:08 AM - azrsx05: Good. I'm glad that someone in the organization is finally calling out Ted. It's ok to admit to a mistake and get a free agent to fill in the weaknesses and still continue to draft and develop for the future
Jan 27, 2016 9:21 AM - Green and Gold: If there was any in-house feuding would we ever hear about it?
Jan 27, 2016 9:25 AM - Vrill: it seems we are.....
Jan 27, 2016 9:26 AM - tynimiller: They may be butting heads but I know they both agree Lacy is fat....and I love Lacy. Common ground is good place to start haha
Jan 27, 2016 9:48 AM - Pokerbrat2000: The Packer organization is a smart one. I think MM and TT are always communicating, as is MM with his players. But when fans are screaming about one thing or another, they are going to be smart and acknowledge this with some sort of media response.
Jan 27, 2016 9:54 AM - Twiddlemylobes: I'm not sure Mike is the best guy to be telling someone to lose weight. Lol
Jan 27, 2016 10:30 AM - Pokerbrat2000: "Do as I say, not as I do"....How many non-pear shaped coaches exist in the NFL?
Jan 27, 2016 10:58 AM - tynimiller: More than don't :)
Jan 27, 2016 11:35 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I've had coaches/instructors for various things throughout my life, some who probably couldn't even do a sit-up, but it never made me think they couldn't do their job of coaching.
Jan 27, 2016 12:32 PM - Joe2887: You don't need to be skinny to coach smart or hire/draft correctly.. #NoFatShaming!
Jan 27, 2016 12:57 PM - sdh09e44: I'd have more of a problem is MM said nothing about Lacy.
Jan 27, 2016 12:58 PM - 7thFloorRA: He came into camp out of shape according to MM. They should have put his *** on the PUP until he passed their wt and conditioning tests. That would have been plenty of time to get him ready
Jan 27, 2016 12:59 PM - sdh09e44: Means absolutely nothing that MM is also fat lol. It's not his job to be fit and in shape. It's his job to make sure the guys the team is being around are fit and in shape
Jan 27, 2016 1:00 PM - 7thFloorRA: after what happened to his brother I thought MM would come in looking healthier.
Jan 27, 2016 1:00 PM - 7thFloorRA: yet this was by the worst he has ever looked.
Jan 27, 2016 2:10 PM - 7thFloorRA: MM is skipping the pro bowl with a stomach illness now??
Jan 27, 2016 4:03 PM - longtimefan: Rex Ryan... Fat two AFCCG..... Then lost weight... Missed playoffs
Jan 27, 2016 4:29 PM - 7thFloorRA: Rex just looked jovial fat. MM looks like his head is about to pop.
Jan 27, 2016 4:35 PM - weeds: good point longtime...this stuff is just a waste of time

Jan 27, 2016 at 9:11 PM - AKCheese: All 4 Packers and Woodson in team Rice, simplifies autograph stalking!!
Jan 27, 2016 at 9:50 PM - Shawnsta3: Belicheck, Reid, MM, Arians etc. all seemed to coach just fine this year at their weight as well
Jan 28, 2016 at 6:02 AM - Poppa San: Interesting read: http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2016/01/26/...ot-lombardi-trophy-super-bowl-50?xid=aol_home
Jan 28, 2016 at 9:05 AM - 4Ever4Favre: Just to be clear, Rex Ryan did put in work to lose weight, he had a lap band put in to make his stomache smaller so his fat @$$ wouldn't eat so much.
Jan 28, 2016 at 9:14 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: the pro bowl will be shut down in 2 years, book it
Jan 28, 2016 at 9:43 AM - Pokerbrat2000: That has been said for years and is one of the reasons for the new format. But as long as someone (NFL/Networks) is making money on it, don't cancel your future Pro Bowl travel plans.
Jan 28, 2016 at 9:46 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Personally, I prefer watching college All Star games, guys are playing their butts off trying to catch the eyes of a scout or two.
Jan 28, 2016 at 9:51 AM - Green and Gold: I'd be surprised if Raji only gets a $3 million contract. I'd guess he leaves for bigger money and we keep Guion on a cheaper deal.
Jan 28, 2016 at 9:52 AM - Green and Gold: Definitely lots of questions this off season. Not really any specific must sign guys, but definitely a few positions where we must sign one of the guys.
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM - AKCheese: Guion seems to have a lot of issues that Raji does not, some team may overpay tho
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:07 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: Goodell has been sayin he's about to pull the plug on it, and I hope he does, that will be the one thing he does right in his tenure as commish
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:08 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: all-star games are supposed to be the best of the best players playing against each other from each conference, this game is not that
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:09 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: havent watched the probowl in 10 years and not going to watch it this year either
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:12 AM - AKCheese: Im over in Hawaii, i enjoy seeing the players at practice but i havent gone to the game in over a dozen years. Hoping to get Sitton Kuhn Mathews and Woodson autographs all on my Packer mini helmet
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:25 AM - Pokerbrat2000: bring a big wallet
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:26 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: Here's whatcha gotta do, cancel the probowl and just change that date to draft day
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:26 AM - Pokerbrat2000: why would you have draft day before the FA period?
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:27 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: to give nfl owners time to check their checkbooks after drafting
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:27 AM - Pokerbrat2000: That would be like booking a hall and sending out invitations to your wedding before you hit that bar to find your bride.
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:28 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: you wouldn't do that? hahaha
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:28 AM - Pokerbrat2000: not buying it PFC.....a team really needs to know its needs before the draft and that really isn't known until after the FA period.
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:29 AM - Pokerbrat2000: with the CBA, owners pretty much know what they will be spending on rookies
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:29 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: so you're sayin if the Packers know they need new OLmen, some more linebackers, and a TE to boot, they shouldnt know that till after FA?
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:30 AM - Pokerbrat2000: right.....they pick up a good FA in any of those positions before the draft, why would they use their #1 pick on that position?
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:31 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: well ummm, this umm, knock on TT about free agency ummm
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:31 AM - King of Jeans: we are Packers fans. free agency has literally nothing to do with us.
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:31 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Remember, with FA signings, a team has more control over what they do and who they sign......the draft is a crap shoot as to who will be available.
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:32 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Not taking TT and the way he handles the FA market into consideration, just using logic as to what should come first, the draft or the FA period.
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:32 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: still, no reason it can't be held on what's now probowl week
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:33 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Plenty of FA's available after the draft, but a team knows better where they stand.
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:33 AM - Pokerbrat2000: why move it up? Teams are still scouting college players, there hasn't even been a combine, pro days, etc
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:34 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Do the Broncos and Panthers want to be drafting right now?
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:34 AM - Pokerbrat2000: see no logic behind it, sorry
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:34 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: cuz, it shouldnt be going on late in may, training camps should be starting by then
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:34 AM - Pokerbrat2000: other than to "fill a void in the calendar for fans"

Jan 28, 2016 at 10:35 AM - Pokerbrat2000: April 28th-30th isn't late in may
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:35 AM - Pokerbrat2000: believe it or not, there is actually logic behind the madness
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:36 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: well bump it up to the middle of March then, start training camps by the first week in may i say
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:37 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Middle of March is a far cry from Jan 31 LOL......
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:38 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: well, guess we found the middle ground then
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:38 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Like I said, logic behind the madness and a lot of it has to do with being able to evaluate talent, your own, other teams and college players
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:39 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I like when the draft is.....I wouldn't change it
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:41 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: it needs to be bumped up to start off an earlier training camp to get the players in game condition
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:42 AM - Pokerbrat2000: or hurt getting there?
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:43 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Why not just play year round or make it a baseball like season?
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:44 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: lol, I wouldn't really have any objection to that
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:45 AM - Pokerbrat2000: 100 man rosters
Jan 28, 2016 at 10:47 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: well hey, at least you wouldn't need a salary cap then lol
Jan 28, 2016 at 1:04 PM - AKCheese: Big thumbs down to the NFL, holding practices in an exclusive gated resort, no commoners allowed.... In past years practices were open to the public not anymore, you want to watch practice, get out your checkbook
Jan 28, 2016 at 1:12 PM - 7thFloorRA: You can probably thank isis and not the nfl for that.
Jan 28, 2016 at 1:26 PM - Pokerbrat2000: LOL...Russell Okung isn't doing so well as his own agent...ooops......http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/...ung-email-possible-tampering-violation-012716
Jan 28, 2016 at 1:29 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Nor is Russell Wilson doing so good at wooing his GF with plagiarized love notes.
Jan 28, 2016 at 1:57 PM - Twiddlemylobes: I wish my love notes looked plagiarized. That'd be an improvement for sure. my last one was French and translated as "I love you my little cabbage head".
Jan 28, 2016 at 2:01 PM - Twiddlemylobes: whatever you do don't use Je t'aime mon Petite Chou for a pickup line.
Jan 28, 2016 at 2:06 PM - SeahawkFan80: Russell Okung did just fine. Do you think he is gonna be looked at by your team?
Jan 28, 2016 at 2:07 PM - SeahawkFan80: Okung did not request financial accessions or any other deal making things. Letting them know what is going on with him is within protocols.
Jan 28, 2016 at 2:08 PM - SeahawkFan80: LOL twiddle. Was it her hairstyle??? and is it en vogue????
Jan 28, 2016 at 2:19 PM - Twiddlemylobes: I thought it meant sweetie pie but that meaning was several down the line. Just my luck she knew French.
Jan 28, 2016 at 2:21 PM - SeahawkFan80: At least it did not mean cow pie???
Jan 28, 2016 at 2:22 PM - SeahawkFan80: LOL
Jan 28, 2016 at 2:24 PM - Pokerbrat2000: I hope the Packers didn't respond to Okung's email without informing the Seahawks if they are interested in him
Jan 28, 2016 at 2:27 PM - SeahawkFan80: @ProFootballTalk Teams who received the email from Russell Okung have an obligation to immediately alert the Seahawks http://wp.me/p14QSB-9YqU
Jan 28, 2016 at 2:28 PM - SeahawkFan80: I think it is in the players union rules that the teams have to respond.
Jan 28, 2016 at 2:33 PM - Pokerbrat2000: yup...read that as well.....still not a smart move by Okung
Jan 28, 2016 at 2:34 PM - SeahawkFan80: Here is the post on our web...and some thoughts. http://www.seahawks.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=123311

Jan 28, 2016 9:12 PM - Zeck180: Mark Davis meeting with Las Vegas officials. Sounds like he really wants a new stadium.
Jan 29, 2016 4:58 AM - desertdog55: Problem with Vegas is that it's really a transient town....I don't know if they can sustain attendance game in and game out.
Jan 29, 2016 4:59 AM - desertdog55: Heck Phoenix is 4 times bigger and it has problems...
Jan 29, 2016 6:42 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Put the Raiders in London and be done with it.....If I was a Raider fan, I would feel like I was dating a woman that was always looking for a "better deal"
Jan 29, 2016 7:14 AM - Vrill: or better yet, oakland needs to stay in oakland. they need to build them a damn stadium already
Jan 29, 2016 7:36 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I'm not familiar with the City of Oakland, is there a place to build a new stadium? Besides tearing down the old and building there?
Jan 29, 2016 7:49 AM - SeahawkFan80: I am sure they could do the san fran thing....take out a few soccer fields and dont replace them.
Jan 29, 2016 9:22 AM - Pokerbrat2000: If nothing else, send Mack and Cooper to GB, we will find steady work for them.
Jan 29, 2016 10:02 AM - Poppa San: Dump Raider nation on Salt Lake City and watch a reputation turn.
Jan 29, 2016 10:06 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Zion Nation
Jan 29, 2016 10:12 AM - Vrill: I wonder why Portland never gets a look in these discussions?
Jan 29, 2016 10:14 AM - Vrill: its the 28th biggest city in the nation. plenty big. has the Blazers already...
Jan 29, 2016 10:19 AM - Vrill: and Salt Lake Utah would be a good spot too. At least fans in that area would rabidly support the team. They LOVE their Jazz there. I can see Portland being the same way. Honestly, i'd look at fanbases before I moved my damn team. Vegas would be a god awful destination.
Jan 29, 2016 10:52 AM - AmishMafia: vegas would be fine. Portland is large population bit woulddnt draw from region. slc n vehas a better choice.
Jan 29, 2016 10:53 AM - Pokerbrat2000: For what its worth....http://nflrt.com/nfl-expansion-cities/ Hard to believe Hawaii, Toronto or London would be on the table for a full time franchise. Even Mexico City?
Jan 29, 2016 10:53 AM - Pokerbrat2000: How about Milwaukee? LOL
Jan 29, 2016 10:56 AM - Pokerbrat2000: How many Free Agent does it take to change a light bulb in GB?
Jan 29, 2016 10:57 AM - Pokerbrat2000: ??? We are still waiting to have enough to find out.
Jan 29, 2016 10:58 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Why did the Free Agent cross the road?
Jan 29, 2016 10:58 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Because TT was on vacation
Jan 29, 2016 10:59 AM - Pokerbrat2000: A free agent walks into a bar.....
Jan 29, 2016 10:59 AM - Pokerbrat2000: .....knowing full well...he isn't in GB
Jan 29, 2016 11:43 AM - Green and Gold: This is going to be such a long off season.
Jan 29, 2016 11:44 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: anyone who thinks they could move a team to las vegas and actually get an attendence needs to go see a psychotherapist
Jan 29, 2016 11:47 AM - Pokerbrat2000: or a bookie
Jan 29, 2016 11:53 AM - easyk83: Bear in mind that JPepp wasnt signed until March
Jan 29, 2016 11:53 AM - easyk83: and Wood wasn't picked up until May
Jan 29, 2016 11:54 AM - easyk83: Sure they could
Jan 29, 2016 11:54 AM - easyk83: make a portion of a the stadium a VIP strip club and football venue
Jan 29, 2016 12:12 PM - Vrill: I doubt NFL would allow Vegas with the gambling precedent. Plus no one actually LIVES in Las Vegas. It's like, 200k people with 500k visitors at any given time.
Jan 29, 2016 12:12 PM - Vrill: Zero fan substance in Vegas........................
Jan 29, 2016 12:18 PM - Vrill: and Tony Romo had a fantasy football convention planned in Vegas last off-season and the league made them cancel it. No way they let a team move there.
Jan 29, 2016 1:12 PM - easyk83: just to be clear the above was not a serious proposal, no an NFL operation would not work in Vegas
Jan 29, 2016 1:17 PM - Vrill: I wonder if Mark Davis is just being like his dad now and trying to **** off some people?
Jan 29, 2016 1:30 PM - desertdog55: I used to live in Vegas, the full time residents in that city can't support an NFL team... San Antonio makes more sense.

Jan 29, 2016 at 2:05 PM - SeahawkFan80: San Antonio would get the opposing fanbases to pitch in too as it is a military realm. Most teams have at least one fan there at all times.
Jan 29, 2016 at 2:38 PM - Packers_16-0: Chargers coming to L.A
Jan 29, 2016 at 3:06 PM - azrsx05: I heard opposite. Chargers to stay in SD
Jan 29, 2016 at 4:10 PM - longtimefan: Stay for 2016
Jan 29, 2016 at 4:11 PM - longtimefan: Who said pro bowl practice closed to fans?
Jan 29, 2016 at 4:11 PM - longtimefan: Just saw interview and fans all over the place
Jan 29, 2016 at 5:58 PM - PackerDNA: IMO, if it comes down to Vegas or San Antonio, SA would be the better option short and long term.
Jan 29, 2016 at 7:56 PM - Green and Gold: Sin City would be a tempting place to live for many NFL players.
Jan 29, 2016 at 7:58 PM - Green and Gold: Oklahoma, SA. or Toronto.

Jan 29, 2016 at 8:21 PM - The program 61: which one lol
Jan 29, 2016 at 8:22 PM - The program 61: i assume the only one that matters
Jan 29, 2016 at 8:45 PM - azrsx05: The thing I don't get is why does Florida have 3 NFL teams when non really have a great following. Jacksonville should let go of their team and followed by the Buccaneers. Maybe keep the Dolphins. Then now you have 4 in California. Rams, Chargers, 49ers and Raiders. I think other cities and states deserve a team. I would like maybe Portland, Salt Lake, or Toronto. They would each provide...
Jan 29, 2016 at 8:46 PM - azrsx05: Something new to the league. LA doesn't deserve 2 teams. That team will be out of that city in 10 years when all the fans become uninterested if the team isn't doing as good
Jan 29, 2016 at 9:54 PM - 7thFloorRA: I Think TX could handle 3. They love their football. The raiders also have a large latino fanbase and san antonio would really enhance that. I think they would be hugely popular there and open a new market south.
Jan 30, 2016 at 8:50 AM - desertdog55: A lot of the problem with teams and location,(except for the Packers of course) is the location of the "money". The ultra-rich owners don't usually live in cities like Portland, Salt Lake or Toronto, so they wind up moving the team where "they would prefer to live".....also, a lot of the time it is based on the TV market .
Jan 30, 2016 at 9:00 AM - Pokerbrat2000: <---doesn't think any area should have more then one franchise....just my opinion.
Jan 30, 2016 at 9:27 AM - MiamiBeachPacker: Just about every Florida team struggles with attendance issues, except for the Heat
Jan 30, 2016 at 9:49 AM - SeahawkFan80: But the beaches dont...LOL
Jan 30, 2016 at 10:13 AM - azrsx05: I also hate the idea of teams sharing stadiums. The team really doesn't have a place to call home. The NFL needs to tap into new markets. LA failed once and it's being rewarded with 2 teams. That to me is stupid. Those fans will only be around if the team plays good. Once the celebrity interest dies and all the wealthy are done showing up to make appearances, the team will fail again.
Jan 30, 2016 at 10:14 AM - azrsx05: They will need a few diva players that can capture their interest. Johnny M. Would do great in that market. Gets to party with all his celebrity friends and the team will look the other way because celebrities are what's bringing them money.
Jan 30, 2016 at 10:24 AM - Jdeed: well when an area has 22 million people....I think they can have more than one.
Jan 30, 2016 at 10:25 AM - Jdeed: Green Bay 100k people southern cal 22 mill yeah I think they can have more than one easy.
Jan 30, 2016 at 10:38 AM - Green and Gold: Presumably one if not multiple guys that are playing in this senior bowl will be drafted by the Packers.
Jan 30, 2016 at 2:02 PM - mkonyn: Oklahoma would actually be a great fan base for a team. They are bat s insane when it comes to college and pro sports.
Jan 30, 2016 at 2:26 PM - Vrill: So would Alabama.
Jan 30, 2016 at 2:28 PM - Vrill: Birmingham or Montgomery Alabama could hold an NFL team easy.
Jan 30, 2016 at 2:56 PM - Poppa San: Why is it when the talking heads discuss population, it is only the city of Green Bay but the LA or SF or NY metro area?
Jan 30, 2016 at 2:57 PM - Poppa San: Brown County has almost 250k along with another 250k in Appleton 25 miles away plus another 150k scattered outside the defined metro areas.
Jan 30, 2016 at 3:28 PM - Packers_16-0: I'm part of southern Cali and we needed a team I could now finally watch my packers play a game in Los Angeles
Jan 30, 2016 at 4:13 PM - weeds: that's right Poppa...the I-41 corridor has a.population (once defined) of nearly a million people. All within a 45 minute drive of Lambeau Field.
Jan 30, 2016 at 4:14 PM - weeds: In the "metro" areas, it takes that long to go to the market.
Jan 30, 2016 at 4:16 PM - weeds: the little town of Neenah has more millionaires per square mile than New York City...
Jan 30, 2016 at 4:17 PM - weeds: I made a decision a long long time ago to avoid the concrete jungles like a bad case.of body lice.
Jan 30, 2016 at 4:18 PM - weeds: We have it damned good here...except that a lot of people moving here to escape the metropolitan cesspools bring their problems with them.
Jan 30, 2016 at 6:17 PM - Jdeed: oh sorry 1 million to 22 million....*rollseyes.

Jan 31, 2016 at 5:05 AM - weeds: Jdeed, you're missing the point. From a demographic standpoint, sure...you have POTENTIALLY more fans. Nothing in those markets proves that those people will actually SHOW UP!! Fact is, our 1 million SHOW UP win, lose or tie. I love those fans who say, "Yeah, well there is soooooo much more to do here"... Tampa fans notorious for that, but the guys posting that probably never leave their yard.
Jan 31, 2016 at 6:09 AM - easyk83: GB doesn't have a conentional market, Mil Waukee fir instance beats the pants off of most NFL cities in fan support
Jan 31, 2016 at 6:43 AM - CashInFist: Best place to get an Aaron Rodgers jersey? I need one...
Jan 31, 2016 at 7:10 AM - desertdog55: IMO ....LA had their chance, the attendance was horrid for the Rams when they were there, and also for the Raiders....yet they are getting awarded TWO franchises. The rich guys who own the team aren't very smart or they would realize, regardless of the TV market, you actually have to have "attendance" to sustain an NFL Franchise....they will have to learn the hard way AGAIN>
Jan 31, 2016 at 7:24 AM - desertdog55: I remember reading an article about a study on which cities should be awarded an NFL Franchise based on TV market, and projected attendance.....I remember the number one city being San Antonio. Yeah I know, that would give Texas three teams, but if it can support the attendance, why not. I do remember Oklahoma doing well in that study also.
Jan 31, 2016 at 8:07 AM - PackerDNA: The NFL has always been lopsided geographically. Try to come up with a balanced division format that reflects rivalries and teams in the same region. I too have wondered why there hasn't been a spot for a place like OK.
Jan 31, 2016 at 10:03 AM - Poppa San: DNA 1 simplae answer. Jerruh. Oklahoma fans most likely follow the Cowboys, at least the parts away from Misouri
Jan 31, 2016 at 11:49 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: Yeah, he has a knack too for drafting OK based college players too
Jan 31, 2016 at 12:18 PM - PackerDNA: Uncle Jerruh can be a real pain in the butt, eh Poppa? But he amuses me.
Jan 31, 2016 at 2:13 PM - Vltrophy: Just saw Megatron is going to retire
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:02 PM - The program 61: as long as he doesnt come play for New england he can play anywhere he wants when he comes back.
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:06 PM - Carl: He'd still be stuck with the Lions.
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:08 PM - 7thFloorRA: Don't they have to release him or something. Isn't that what Brett had to do to get out of NY?
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:09 PM - Carl: Yeah, Lions would still have the rights to him
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:27 PM - Pokerbrat2000: I won't miss trying to defense Megatron that is for sure.
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:31 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Johnny Football's second NFL offseason is going worse than his first. Police used a helicopter to track him down after an altercation with his GF.....<insert eye roll here>
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:32 PM - SeahawkFan80:  Ok
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:32 PM - SeahawkFan80: Who are you guys looking at for Left Tackle at the moment?
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:34 PM - PackerDNA: It'll almost certainly be Bak. I hope they don't spend their first rounder on Conlin.
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:34 PM - 7thFloorRA: Probably Bakh who will get a huge contract extension even though he isn't that good.
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:35 PM - 7thFloorRA: I have a feeling that Teddy is going to sign a major ILB this year. He has been saving up and its a position he can not draft for.
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:35 PM - SeahawkFan80: Would he be in the top 20?
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:41 PM - The program 61: for size and production he has over performed for a 4th rd draft pick
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:42 PM - The program 61: at best a top 13 -20 LT
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:45 PM - SeahawkFan80: Twas what I was thinking too.
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:45 PM - 7thFloorRA: the problem is he hasnt gotten better
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:45 PM - SeahawkFan80: You all gonna watch the 2 hand touch football game in a few?
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:46 PM - SeahawkFan80: Does he fit your scheme? Is he doing what is necessary..or is he an orange cone?
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:46 PM - The program 61: 6'4 unless he got monkey arms isnt a good wing span for a LT
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:47 PM - The program 61: hes quick to blocks in the scheme and obviously a difference maker in the cardinals playoff game which is why he seems to be the answer for some people
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:51 PM - 7thFloorRA: im watching the nhl game. its great
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:52 PM - SeahawkFan80: As long as it is not a stats game and he provides a decent block, I think that the person works. there are a lot of people that are stat people that only look at what has been done in the last few games. How many tackles? etc. But if they had 2 blockers so the other 2 could get in...that is a team ethic.

Jan 31, 2016 at 3:53 PM - 7thFloorRA: He isn't strong at all. His lower body looks like that of a TE. He always needs help.
Jan 31, 2016 at 3:53 PM - 7thFloorRA: 12 handles edge pressure very well. The problem this year was teams collapsed inside of the pocket on him and he had no where to prance around to.

Feb 1, 2016 8:36 AM - PackerfaninCarolina: yeah it's just ... well woulda prob been better had they had a vocal tone to vocal tone like exact sounding impersonation of michaels and collinswworth
Feb 1, 2016 8:53 AM - The program 61: packers want lacy to lose 30lbs bye bye lacy lol
Feb 1, 2016 10:06 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Easy enough for a guy that big to lose the 30....the tough part is keeping muscle and maintaining the loss of weight throughout the season.
Feb 1, 2016 10:46 AM - Vrill: Lacy was 225-230 in College and his rookie year. He ballooned up to 260?
Feb 1, 2016 11:26 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Balloons are light, I think he hamburgered and donuted his way up
Feb 1, 2016 11:50 AM - AKCheese: I think he's got a good attitude which is key. Hopefully the Packers helping him through education and motivation is whats going on rather than threats. Probably some bad eating habits he could get away with when younger are catching up to him. Attitude by all parties is key!!
Feb 1, 2016 11:59 AM - Vltrophy: Supposedly Lacy is getting w/the guy who started the P90x training. If that's the case he'll be a beast for sure next season
Feb 1, 2016 12:33 PM - Pokerbrat2000: As long as him and Tony aren't just getting together for coffee and donuts.

Feb 1, 2016 12:50 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Tony Horton is a fantastic marketer and it is my hope that he sees this opportunity with Eddie as just that, a great way to market his product. But in order to have that effect, Eddie's results depend on it......so let's hope Tony puts all he has into getting Eddie into shape
Feb 1, 2016 1:02 PM - Twiddlemylobes: If you had told me last year this was gonna be a major focus this offseason I would've thought it was a joke

Feb 1, 2016 1:36 PM - AKCheese: They say drinking a lot of water is key to weight loss.... Hence pee 90 times??
Feb 1, 2016 2:48 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Washing down a big salad, as opposed to a big hamburger with water works too.
Feb 1, 2016 4:01 PM - longtimefan: Mm was in hospital for his stomach issue
Feb 1, 2016 4:21 PM - easyk83: Eddie gets into shape, rushes for 2000 yards and leverages huge deal out of Packers
Feb 1, 2016 4:21 PM - easyk83: and then promptly gets fat again
Feb 1, 2016 4:22 PM - Raptorman: Apparently MM could no longer stomach the Packers offense. :)
Feb 1, 2016 4:40 PM - SeahawkFan80: Hopefully the salad is a good one, not one that makes ya sick. I have had that a few times lately. I dont think it was the beer...as I did not have a beer with it.

Feb 1, 2016 9:50 PM - adambr2: Lions to Megatron: 'Hey, if we give you a paycut, would you consider not retiring?'
Feb 2, 2016 4:49 AM - weeds: Don't encourage him, NLC. ;) Hahaha... yeah... nice burn. :)
Feb 2, 2016 7:56 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Have to wonder how much being on a losing team like Detroit all of his career weighs on his decision?
Feb 2, 2016 8:05 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Dead cap hit on Detroit if he retires....$13M this year and close to $5M next....ouch.
Feb 2, 2016 12:59 PM - longtimefan: They get hit if retires?
Feb 2, 2016 12:59 PM - longtimefan: Makes no sense
Feb 2, 2016 1:01 PM - tynimiller: I thought retirement cannot be held against a team moving forward?
Feb 2, 2016 1:07 PM - Raptorman: Dead cap money, or money paid out for signing bonus is always counted. That's the Saints biggest problem right now. Dead cap on players no longer with them.
Feb 2, 2016 1:11 PM - tynimiller: Well that would suck for Detroit than in a big big way.
Feb 2, 2016 1:12 PM - tynimiller: Be nice if teams could put a retirement clause (for non medical issues).
Feb 2, 2016 1:14 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Nahhh.......if teams are going to back load a contract with guaranteed money, this is the price they pay.
Feb 2, 2016 1:16 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Just as the Packer would have a $20M hit on AR's contract over the next 2 years if he retires.
Feb 2, 2016 1:20 PM - Pokerbrat2000: This is why Jay Cutler is still a Bear IMO.....it would almost cost them too much money to cut or trade him. Thank TT and Ball for not bankrupting the future of the team as others have with teams.
Feb 2, 2016 1:24 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Personally, I think its a brilliant move on Megatron's part (or his agent), since Detroit was probably going to ask him to take a pay cut. If he isn't actually serious about retiring, he is saying "keep paying me if you REALLY want me to keep playing for you.
Feb 2, 2016 2:36 PM - adambr2: Dead cap isn't really a product of back loading contracts, though. It's all of an uncharged signing bonus being suddenly charged at once to the cap when they are cut or retired.
Feb 2, 2016 2:42 PM - adambr2: If Megatron were cut or retired in a year it would be less than a $5M cap hit. In 2 years, no hit at all.
Feb 2, 2016 2:44 PM - adambr2: Backloading is pretty standard and really makes a lot of sense from a team perspective, especially with a rising cap and the ability to roll over cap space from year to year.

Feb 2, 2016 6:16 PM - Raptorman: They can. But if they do, I believe they have to relinquish his rights.
Feb 2, 2016 6:21 PM - Raptorman: But I am not sure on that
Feb 2, 2016 7:37 PM - CashInFist: Jay Cutler sucks. That's the way he rolls. lol

Feb 3, 2016 6:36 AM - jrock645: good morning folks! lots of rain here in the South. guess it's better than the snow up north
Feb 3, 2016 7:51 AM - Pokerbrat2000: snow, sleet, rain, ice....rinse and repeat up here in the great state of Wisconsin
Feb 3, 2016 10:13 AM - Vltrophy: Peppers has decided to come back next yr. he had 10.5 sacks last yr. He's due to make $10.5M if Packers keep him on the roster. Imo he's worth it as he's still playing at a high level.
Feb 3, 2016 10:50 AM - C-Lee: Really hope he stays with us
Feb 3, 2016 11:10 AM - easyk83: Ted Thompson has to realize that A) we're close and B) a lot of cap money will free up after this year, pull the trigger on some capable vets TT
Feb 3, 2016 11:25 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Can't imagine a scenario that Peppers is released. Also might mean that either Neal or Perry won't be a Packer next year.
Feb 3, 2016 1:51 PM - Vltrophy: Neal yes Perry no
Feb 3, 2016 2:05 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Of course a lot also depends on if they can move Clay back outside, which IMO requires bringing in another ILB.
Feb 3, 2016 2:06 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Linebackers are definitely the biggest question mark this off season.
Feb 3, 2016 5:06 PM - longtimefan: Cobb had a puntured lung....thinks the mic he was wearing did it

Feb 3, 2016 8:45 PM - jrock645: What are you talking about with Cobb and a punctured lung? I haven't seen any mention on the usual sources- JSO, ESPN, etc
Feb 3, 2016 8:47 PM - 7thFloorRA: he did an interview with 105.7 the fan in milwaukee today and said exactly what happened to him
Feb 3, 2016 8:48 PM - jrock645: Hmm I just found it. Just surprised it hasn't landed elsewhere
Feb 3, 2016 9:21 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Google "Cobb and punctured lung", its been all over
Feb 4, 2016 2:44 AM - Eli Haugen: dang... lung shot... he would have made a huge difference in that game. along with adams random injury from rodgers landing on him getting rolled up. he was making big progress that last game. bum deal.
Feb 4, 2016 7:13 AM - jrock645: Its a shame he went down right after such a circus catch and momentum swing

Feb 6, 2016 9:00 AM - adambr2: Congrats on the boy Program!
Feb 6, 2016 9:37 AM - Packers907: To Jones or not to Jones?
Feb 6, 2016 9:39 AM - Packers907: Same with Peppers.. any thoughts?
Feb 6, 2016 10:20 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Keep Peppers for sure.......I would love to see them let James Jones compete for a spot, but predict they don't resign.
Feb 6, 2016 11:38 AM - azrsx05: There's some things you can't measure. I think JJ brings experience, the connection he has with ARod. That some of those young receivers just don't have yet. I think they should keep him
Feb 6, 2016 11:41 AM - Packers907: I think they will bring Peppers back for another season since they are getting him for cheap with plenty of salary cap left. For JJ I think there are way too mant good WRs for the Packers especially with Nelson and Ty coming back and Janis showing promise.
Feb 6, 2016 12:39 PM - Green and Gold: Cutting Peppers would leave a huge gap in our growing defense.
Feb 6, 2016 12:39 PM - Green and Gold: We know Ted isn't going to sign a solid FA in Peppers absence.
Feb 6, 2016 1:21 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: man this halftime show is going to be so lame

Feb 6, 2016 1:22 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: *they
Feb 6, 2016 1:22 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: they need to select halftime artists from a fan poll
Feb 6, 2016 3:13 PM - adambr2: Agree with everyone above that Peppers returns and Jones doesn't. ..Peppers is under contract for another year anyway, Jones is a FA.
Feb 6, 2016 3:48 PM - Vltrophy: I'm glad Peppers is coming back but he's not cheap. $10.5M
Feb 6, 2016 4:38 PM - adambr2: Not cheap, but $10.5M is a solid deal for a double digit sack edge rusher.
Feb 6, 2016 4:42 PM - C-Lee: Love peppy
Feb 6, 2016 6:25 PM - 7thFloorRA: oh man....Favre and KG going in to the hall...watch out Canton

Feb 6, 2016 9:04 PM - Shawnsta3: He really said that? Wow Davante can't catch a break
Feb 6, 2016 9:10 PM - 7thFloorRA: he did. i think davante was in the crowd laughing though
Feb 6, 2016 9:11 PM - 7thFloorRA: i think it would be fairly impossible to judge a 65 yd pass that is 80 feet high. What would be more true is that RR was so slow everyone was way past him.
Feb 6, 2016 11:01 PM - Jdeed: Gratz to Favre!
Feb 7, 2016 2:07 AM - buggybill2003: ??????
Feb 7, 2016 4:14 AM - weeds: Yes. Congrats to Favre, Bill. :whistling:
Feb 7, 2016 6:03 AM - buggybill2003: what has he done then weeds ? saved a cat stuck up a tree or something ? :whistling:
Feb 7, 2016 6:19 AM - Green and Gold: Greene made it too finally. Former Packers OLB coach.
Feb 7, 2016 6:21 AM - Green and Gold: We should have had the #1 and #2 Plays of the Year.
Feb 7, 2016 7:15 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Remember, with Peppers the Packers have a $2.5M hit on the cap if they cut him, so in effect, keeping him "only" costs $8M
Feb 7, 2016 8:05 AM - Packers907: Congrats to Favre and the Pack for Play of the Year
Feb 7, 2016 8:06 AM - Packers907: Would it be worth keeping him for the 8 m?
Feb 7, 2016 8:06 AM - Packers907: Lots of good free agents are supposed to be coming out this year and especially with the need for a good TE
Feb 7, 2016 8:18 AM - adambr2: Yes, it's worth keeping Peppers at a net cost of 8M
Feb 7, 2016 9:12 AM - Packers907: I think so, not so sure with Jones
Feb 7, 2016 9:17 AM - azrsx05: Jones might be allowed to test the free marked to see what he's worth. Then they might get him on a 1-2 year cheap deal
Feb 7, 2016 9:28 AM - weeds: Hi Bill. ;)
Feb 7, 2016 9:32 AM - PackerDNA: Jones won't get a lot, here or elsewhere.
Feb 7, 2016 9:47 AM - Packers907: I agree, I think Jones's tank is about tapped out. He would make a good backup in case of injujry considering the year we just had with injuries.
Feb 7, 2016 11:04 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Why not sign Jones at Vet min? Doesn't guarantee anything but having him in camp to compete and more importantly, depth.
Feb 7, 2016 11:23 AM - TeamTundra: Marshawn Lynch is expected to retire per a report from today.
Feb 7, 2016 11:42 AM - SeahawkFan80: http://www.seahawks.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=123512
Feb 7, 2016 11:57 AM - Poppa San: PB2K - Don't need depth in camp. JJ there would take reps away from the eventual bottom of the roster WR's. Don't need him there for that. He can stay in shape in someone elses camp like this past off season.
Feb 7, 2016 11:58 AM - Poppa San: Bring him back if needed after final rosters set or the season starts.
Feb 7, 2016 12:06 PM - Packers907: So we are looking at Nelson, Cobb, Monty, Janis, Adams?
Feb 7, 2016 12:08 PM - Packers907: I would think Janis instead of Abby. Janis seems to show more promise and is a threat on special teams
Feb 7, 2016 12:29 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Janis has to learn how to run routes before he works his way ahead of Abby on the depth chart.
Feb 7, 2016 1:01 PM - sschind: I think all 7 WRs (counting Jones even though he is a FA) are probably worthy of a spot. I also think it likely a rookie is in the mix. That means 2 guys (Jones is probably one) are out. IMO it would be Abby or Janis but they could bail on Adams.
Feb 7, 2016 1:02 PM - sschind: Janis may have the edge over Abby on STs but I think Abby may have an edge at WR. IMO.
Feb 7, 2016 1:10 PM - PackerDNA: Not a chance they bail on a second round pick after two seasons, no matter how bad he stinks up the joint.
Feb 7, 2016 1:13 PM - easyk83: They'll keep 6 WRs this year IMO
Feb 7, 2016 1:14 PM - easyk83: Janis is too valuable as a STeamer
Feb 7, 2016 1:14 PM - easyk83: They like Abby's skill set as well as Monty's
Feb 7, 2016 1:14 PM - easyk83: Nelson and Cobb wont be cut

Feb 7, 2016 at 1:28 PM - Vltrophy: Not cutting Adams. I'd put $ on it. JJ is odd man out
Feb 7, 2016 at 1:51 PM - 7thFloorRA: Jeremiah Johnson Favre!!! What a beast. He is on NFLN right now.
Feb 7, 2016 at 1:55 PM - adambr2: Brian Brohm was a 2nd round pick and he was cut after 1 season. Same with Khryi Thornton as a 3rd. It wouldn't be unprecedented at all for Davante to be cut. I'd say the odds are still in his favor, but he needs a good camp.
Feb 7, 2016 at 1:58 PM - 7thFloorRA: what??? are you serious? Davante is not getting cut.
Feb 7, 2016 at 2:08 PM - adambr2: I didn't say he was getting cut. I gave examples of a 2nd and 3rd round pick that were cut after just one season, much less 2. Do I think he'll make the team, yes, can he just show up to camp and be considered a lock, no.
Feb 7, 2016 at 2:22 PM - adambr2: I don't know why the possibility is shocking. If he gets passed by 2 out of Montgomery, Janis, and Abby, he's already down to 5th on the depth chart, and that's assuming we let Jones walk and bring in no additional WR help via FA or the draft.
Feb 7, 2016 at 2:22 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: I got a lot of words for those Panther wackos
Feb 7, 2016 at 2:23 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: We are going to make the Packers great again in 2016
Feb 7, 2016 at 2:24 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: when 2016 starts up again, we are going to win again, in fact we are going to win so much, our opponents will get sick of us winning
Feb 7, 2016 at 2:24 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: We are going to start winning big league on deep passing, and run stopping defense
Feb 7, 2016 at 2:25 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: We’re going to build up our O-line. We’re going to have such a strong O-line that nobody, nobody is going to mess with us.
Feb 7, 2016 at 2:29 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: it'll be so strong, we wont even have to use it
Feb 7, 2016 at 2:40 PM - 7thFloorRA: Davante is going to be a greg jennings type wr for this team. he had a bad year but he seems to know it and wants to improve.
Feb 7, 2016 at 2:42 PM - The program 61: what time was superbowl last year was it always 630pm?

Feb 7, 2016 at 2:54 PM - The program 61: we have a easy schedule compared to this year next year maybe we can be like the panthers of this year
Feb 7, 2016 at 2:56 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: yeah AFC South and NFC East, that's a dream, though we do still play Seattle again though
Feb 7, 2016 at 2:56 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: not sure if that's in Lambeau or the Link
Feb 7, 2016 at 3:03 PM - SeahawkFan80: Since you played us in our house, should be in your house this coming season.

Feb 7, 2016 at 3:32 PM - PackerfaninCarolina: no we're patriotic and consider it to be an offense to this country to have the national anthem butchered
Feb 7, 2016 at 3:32 PM - Dr. Kenneth Noisewater: You've got to go Over for that G&G. Every time a narcissist like Gaga gets to sing the anthem they drag it out as long as possible

Feb 7, 2016 at 4:09 PM - Green and Gold: people who think that was a catch probably in denial about the fumble too
Feb 7, 2016 at 4:10 PM - pacmaniac: I was hoping Manning would remain with Favre and Rodgers as the great QBs with only 1 SB win, but he may end up winning his 2nd SB today.
