Yeah I don’t think the threads can be merged. We just have to track each thread. NBD. Just good to be aware. There is a draft section and then threads beneath related to prospects, various mocks roll in there for folks and other draft related items.

Great memory.Good stuff OS! And then there are quarter barrels.
I’m dating myself here - I remember when fans could bring in a quarter barrel for a Braves’ game at County Stadium. Set the barrel on its own seat and start pouring.
And there were no fights. People still got loaded, but it was just a more genteel time.

Plus you’re probably just More sensitive to Draft topics, which I respect. No worries. Couple more days and you’ll be in Draft Paradise !Nah I don’t think it needs merged it just gets confusing when we have the same exact or very similar draft discussions occurring both in the Draft Section and now here - once upon a time I got told to stop putting the forks in the wrong silverware drawer spot which is when I learned there was a draft section.
I'm sorry to hear about your parents OS. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.Great memory.
1/4 barrels are what our friends would chip in on as teenagers. That or we’d just buy 2 or 3 cases for a smaller crowd. I always liked the Pony Keg I thought fir small gatherings that was effective use of $
Yeah you’re older than me. These are great memories that are being lost. Pains me to say I lost both parents just recently just days apart and they were both remarried so it’s not like they lived together. So Even stranger. I don’t like being without that generation they’re my heroes.
Related I was just telling my wife (she’s 12 yrs younger) my first airplane flights to go visit my Dad in the early 1980’s there were people smoking on the plane! Built in Ashtrays in backs of seats. Those were soon replaced with TV’s or Trays. Just a different time when folks seemed to offer more common respect to each other even among our differences. So glad I tasted that generation of quality people.
PS. I literally watched a guy who was smoking at customer service counter (Circuit City) go from minor verbal altercation about his cigarette to being full dosed with a large fire extinguisher! That white chemical dust went EVERYWHERE in that store! Like a sandstorm there was no way to stop it
It's good you brought the different threads to everyone's attention. Little bit.Getting back to this year's draft and watching what team pick who on the first day,
I suddenly realized we gave up our 1st pick for 2026 and 2027 for Micah Parsons.
I hope we wouldn't be disappointed.
There's a lot at stake here.
Who was it GBS? Sorry if you've answered this already on another thread. My pick for 52 is still on the board. I didn't want to jinx us ..
Uea it was the 6'8" 330 pound DT/DE from ol miss. He fell pretty far. Apparently he has some legal issues.Who was it GBS? Sorry if you've answered this already on another thread.
. We got some physical freaks. Filled a bunch of needs.... I'm very pleased.Oh I agree.Uea it was the 6'8" 330 pound DT/DE from ol miss. He fell pretty far. Apparently he has some legal issues.
But they said coming from DE he had offensive tackles on skates.... Would be sweet to have a DE that can force a double team using brute force, opposite parsons.....
330 pound DE? 6'8"?! Lol. So basically a super sized DT who is quick enough to play end.
I like our guys Gleutenhyman picked for us though. I seen the draft room celebrating when we picked ciccy. That's a great sign.. We got some physical freaks. Filled a bunch of needs.... I'm very pleased.
I just hope whoever obtains the kicker spot does not let us down and then a few weeks later when it is too late we all are saying " Should have kept the other guy. "Oh I agree.
For myself, I’m not sure if it’s my expectations were lowered due to no Day 1? I just felt like this draft was leaning “needs” based. I really feel like we addressed our top 4 most pressing needs. Plus landed the best K in college to light a fire under McManus
CB depth RD2
Interior DT RD3
Edge rotation RD4
Interior OL RD5
+
CB depth RD6
Teams PK RD6
Now I think we still took a combo of NEED at best prospect available and across several position groups we were focused on. I will say I would never have bet on no RB and no TE. Yet that doesn’t concern me a great deal because it’s lower on the totem pole of needs and easier to attain when ready.
Maybe it was the low number of picks that forced Gluten’s hand this year. Regardless, he did a great job with not a lot to work with.Uea it was the 6'8" 330 pound DT/DE from ol miss. He fell pretty far. Apparently he has some legal issues.

Yikes I never would have guessed an INT number that low. McKinney had INTs in his first 6, maybe 7 games as a Packer. That's not a coincidence.Yea I looked and we only had 7 interception on defense in 2025. Yikes. 17 in 2024 and only 7 the year prior in 2023 also. Definitely don't want that to become a trend.
Yeah we all know exactly what you're talking about. And it's easy to happen because kickers are streaky and juts, well, weird guys.I just hope whoever obtains the kicker spot does not let us down and then a few weeks later when it is too late we all are saying " Should have kept the other guy. "
Well, you're burying the lead. He had a leg injury, missed some games, possibly mis-lead the team about the severity, and a bad end of the season. And then last year, ****, all gone. Streaky and weird. That's a kicker. Well, most kickers.
The kid from Florida has already been consistent 3 years in a row. Imho, he looks like our guy. Of course there's more pressure nowWell, you're burying the lead. He had a leg injury, missed some games, possibly mis-lead the team about the severity, and a bad end of the season.
Hopefully the team sat him down and said, "No more $h!t out of you." He came in with legal problems and now this. The drafting of a kicker should be a loud enough declaration of being a gnat's hair away from his third strike.
My grandfather was a big golfer. I was a caddy at 13yrs old, and haven't been able to stand the sport since. The kid from Florida has already been consistent 3 years in a row. Imho, he looks like our guy. Of course there's more pressure now

Nixon and Valentine are still getting better. Nixon hold the #1 CB spot well when healthy. Valentine held his own as a starter as well. Bullard at nickel was probably not the plan this time last year. But he was surprisingly consistent. Good tackler.Yikes I never would have guessed an INT number that low. McKinney had INTs in his first 6, maybe 7 games as a Packer. That's not a coincidence.
And that was from a safety. It's legitimate to ask the CB group and the coach, "What have you done for me lately" - or better, "What are you going to do?" Gluten is doing his part to address CB, as best as he can. Unless something huge happens, the CB will be the weakest group on the team again. I hope they prove me wrong.
Defensive scheme will be a little different in 2026. Not sure we will just keep everything in front. You might see some taking chances and jumping routes.Nixon and Valentine are still getting better. Added the Fa and two rookies for depth.
We just need to stay healthy
Man, I do too. If he is, that would be one of the best Draft Day trades in Packers history.I've got nothing against the new kid. I hope that he's our kicker for the next 20yrs.
