Just dropping by to post my completed 7-round mock draft. Why should you pay any attention to it? No reason other than me being a hardcore fan that spent many hours (yes, I'm single) putting it together. In the end, all mocks are hypothetical simulations of course, so I don't claim for it to be anything more than that. I included AdamJT13's famous compensatory pick projections as well. The mock draft takes into account a balance of 'best player available,' team needs, rolling draft grades from various pundits, my own opinion, as well as what we know about the tendencies of those making the war room decisions for each respective franchise.

Like the majority of the picks but I'm not happy with Hardesty and Moats. Hardesty is more of a trucking back with not a lot of speed which is what we already have in Grant. Moats is risky and I would prefer to take O'Brien Schofield at that spot. Otherwise it's a great draft. Coleman is severely underrated and I think he'll find success on our team.

I am wondering if Charles Brown will actually be able to handle the Left Tackle spot.

He's worth a shot because he's proved that he can handle it. A lot of people are raving for us to take Iupati, however Iupati is limited to being nothing more than a guard. The reason why I say that is because the coaches tested Iupati at both tackle spots during the senior bowl and he was subpar. With Brown even if he doesn't bode well at tackle you can always move him to guard. So with Brown you're getting the chance for both a guard or a future tackle. With Iupati you're only getting one of those.

Iupati really struggled in pass protection. Besides, he's over 330 pounds, much heavier than what the Packers use.

He's really not a good fit into our scheme at all. We're a ZBS with emphasis on passing.

He's better at a mauling team with emphasis in running...

But still, he's really raw, and has potential to be a great guard, something we need...

You're right in that it is definitely a position of need but not immediately. Imo tackle is a bigger concern for us.

Really liked this draft for the Packers. Getting Brown, Ghee, and Hardesty would get doubly excited for the season to start.

Chad Clifton is listed at 320. Josh Sitton is listed at 322. Those 2 guys are arguably the 2 best on the line. 330 or 335lbs is not that big of a deal. 10 or 15 lbs difference. Allen Barbre and Darren Colledge weigh less and the pretty much suck. As far as Iupati struggling at both tackle spots.......well he never plays there....soo......he would need to adjust and learn, which according to Mike Mayock........he did. I mean, if we draft Brown, and we end up moving him to gaurd........that would **** me off. We would still be in the same position next year.
