Really good game all around. Loved the way Lacy was running and the Defense had a huge fire the whole game. Rodger's looked good, but I still don't like seeing him take those sacks. Just throw the damn ball away.

He seems to be pretty much forgotten about or there doesn't seem to be as much lingering hurt as there is for another ex-Packer who joined the Vikings.

Overall, this was a fantastic game obviously.
STUDS: Nelson and Quarless -- On one of Lacy's TD's, Nelson and Quarless both held their blocks for an incredibly long time, even though the run wasn't supposed to go their way. Lacy didn't have anything so he bounced it back outside and the fantastic blocks of Quarless and Nelson allowed Lacy to get into the end zone. Quarless has stepped up in a big way, making an impact on both the passing and running game, and he is our obvious #1 TE now. I know Nelson only had the 1 catch, but he provided lots of problems for the defense.

Luther Robinson: He gets signed to 53 and activated because of Boyd's injury, and he causes an INT. Fantastic. Overall, he looked like he belonged.

Burnett: He made solid plays all over the place, kept things in front of him, and he had a few tackles short of the 1st down marker to get off the field. He takes a lot of heat, so I'm glad he stepped up today.

Dom Capers: Fantastic game plan. From the eye test, this is the first game I really felt the defense dominated and imposed their will.

Daniels, Guion, Perry, and Peppers: So much pressure. Perry looked good, too, and that gives me hope for his future.

Masthay: 6 punts for 304 yards (50.7 yards/punt) with a long of 58, 5 punts inside the 20, and only 1 touchback. Fantastic bounce back performance.

Rodgers: A 138.7 passer rating, and he had this team so far ahead in the 4th quarter he got benched. That pretty much sums it up.

Lacy: The biggest stud of all, he looked a lot better this week with 8.1 YPC, 2 rushing TD's, and some receiving yards to go with it.

DUDS:
HHCD: He got run over a few times for 1st downs.

D. Jones: He didn't have much of an impact and he got injured.

Adams: 1 catch for 11 yards. Sure, he had a TD, but he still doesn't seem to be on the same page with Rodgers. He also got pushed out of bounds on a play, which I think was weak play by him. He also needs to work on his blocking IMO.

Flynn: Wow, that was a bad performance. He needs to show the NFL his talents and hope for another opportunity to start, but he didn't show that today.

Overall, a great game. Lots of studs and the duds were nitpicking a bit.

Datone had a hit and drew a hold, which would have been a sack in his limited time. Also, I didn't see him driven off the line. He was good in his limited time.

I am happy to admit I was wrong about the game. Now, THIS is the way Packers' football is played. Offensive line controlled; Lacy terrific. Rogers was magnificent. Defensive front 7 markedly improved both against the run and QB pressure. Hope it continues.

I really enjoyed watching the consistent defensive pressure and aggression. Great to see both lines play well.
The usual stars did their part but was especially happy to see Quarless and Robinson step up like they did. Janis got his first action too which was good to see.

In mathematics, division by zero is treated as meaningless, illogical, invalid...choose the term. If you wrote a division-by-zero expression in a computer program it would crash.

I recall a writer, I cannot remember which, who said Janis is the new Billy Schroeder. Specifics were not cited, but I think the comparison, at this point, is apt.

Small college, tall receiver, runs like the wind.

The more concerning point of a comparison, unstated in the commentary, is what might reside above the shoulders. No one will ever accuse Schroeder of having been a student of the game, to put it charitably.

Note the snap where Janis did not know what to do, came back to the huddle for instruction, followed by a timeout called by Flynn.

I've not heard Janis speak, so I don't know if he has Schroeder's goofball tendencies, but at this point there are indications his savvy and football knowledge, let alone knowledge of this sophisticated passing offense, may not be more than a couple of steps above sandlot.

Raw talent? Sure, that's why the Packers did not try to put him on practice squad. But there's no guarantee, not by a long shot, he'll get to the point where he'll get on the same page with Aaron Rodgers, and that is mandatory for getting on the field when it matters. Job #1 for receivers in an Aaron Rodgers offense is don't be zigging when the read is for a zag; not causing INTs is mandatory.

Somebody's going to tell me Schroeder had 3 seasons totaling 3,000 yds. That was a team under the freelancing Favre and a thin WR receiver group; a limited Schroeder-like skill set does not cut it in this offense with this QB.

Hopefully they can get him up to speed on the entire playbook sooner than later and in the meantime hopefully they can at least get him proficient at a handful of plays.

Datone Jones has a lot of emergencies. lol In all seriousness, he needs to find a way to stay on the field. The guy was a 1st round draft pick and they won't put him on the field much, and when they finally do he gets injured.

Datone has flashed potential but he does need to stay healthy, I wouldn't rate him as a dud for getting nicked up.

As for the Nick Perry mentions, last night he must have seen the most snaps he's seen all season and he paid up. Compared to Mike Neal he's just as physical but he show s more burst and speed when attacking the quarterback. He also sets a mean edge although his pursuit good use a lot of work, way too timid.

Yeah, he got to the top of the mountain, got (and is getting) paid a lot of money, avoided major injury, but it did not work out. Only a tiny percentage of the great mass of people get that chance. He should be happy to have gotten his shot at the golder ring.
