Is the injury history with Perry a little overblown? He 15 games in 2014 and 14 games in 2015 and hasnt missed a game yet this year. He obviously played through an injury last year but he still played. I am not saying it is a concern but he has played a lot of games the last couple years.

It's true that Perry hasn't missed a lot of games over the last two seasons but he often played through an injury and equally inportant wasn't able to practice for large parts f the offseason and training camp.

This. Large chunks of Perry's playing time he was less than 100%. Not to mention learning different techniques for a new position. That, and some guys bloom a little later than others.

Fans skewer the Packers regardless of whether they hold an injured player back or let them fight through injuries. Frankly it's a fine line to walk. They let Montgomery try to fight through his ankle last season and it backfired. They let Lacy fight through his bad ankle during his rookie season (despite my arguing to shut him down) and he was no worse for the wear.

They've let Perry fight through all of his injuries and, beyond playing experience, it didn't seem to help him because it seemed to be a cascade of injuries. TT is often lambasted for holding onto his picks too long. While there is truth to it, Perry is an instance of Ted's instincts paying off. Nick has overcome a lot to get to where he is now.
