Truely, it's just the NFLE not the NFL. I guess you guys need a lot of beer
to watch those games when you are used to NFL-football.
But why did some players rise from the ashes of NFLE to become starters
in the NFL?
Because their workethic is good, because they try to take every chance
and because they're talented.
IMO the system of the NFL-draft is good but not perfect.
Big college - good numbers. Intense training for the combine,
good 40s-time and you might be gone after the third round.
Small college - good numbers. 'As usual' preparation for the combine and
you might be lucky to make someones practice-squad.
Imagine Donald Driver beeing inactive for too long.......
Here
is the summary of his 1999 season. Not really great numbers.
Imagine:
'Cut after week 7 to make room because of an injured starter.'
'Picked up by some other team. Wrong place, wrong time.'
'Resigned by the Packers in Apr 2000 and assigned to NFLE'
What do you think would have happened?
Let Lucas compete in training-camp. Maybe he has something to show
