If you could pick one thing, what aspect of the 2024 Packers do you want to say goodbye to in 2025?

For me it would be the dropped passes. There's nothing that deflates a drive like a dropped pass, and nothing that makes the rest of the team look better than unstoppable offense.

You know, I don't have a lot of complaints. I guess the drops and just cut down on mistakes and penalties. I think we are headed in the right direction. It helped getting the new DC.

Amen to the Drops.

I won’t miss our Kicker situation pre McManus. It’s factual that we lost games because of having Placekicker tryouts in-season. It’s too important a position to dinker around there. McNamath is an absolute Godsend and I think his signing might become one of the most under-the-radar impactful decisions in 2025. Brandon is absolutely killing it. He’s 97.14% on 35 attempts. That’s All Pro1 + Justin Tucker prime stuff. This Trio of LS, Holder, Placekicker is just plain impressive.
Not to mention, Brandon has a leg. I’m 100% sure in the ideal conditions he can plug a 60+ yarder.

Fans clamoring in TC that the back up is better than Love....oh wait....lol folks are crazy.

Dropped passes of course was first to my mind as well.

Goodbye Jason Rebrovich (DL coach). I have nothing against the guy, but I hope that he was the albatross around the Packers' defensive neck. May the defense thrive in 2025.

That lines seems to be doing very well so far this year, so... yeah... fingers crossed.

Then again, the defensive line looked amazing last preseason and then underwhelmed during the regular season.

Goodbye to the Loveman being dinged up. May he ride 25 in health!
You took mine, so I'll say I'd like to see a bit more passing. I like the run first concept, but it didn't seem like the passing game could really get into a rhythm often enough.

Although it boils down to execution I believe our play calling on the opponent's side of the 50 yard line was a weakness.Tom Brady described it perfectly in several of our games. Start thinking time clock, play clock, down and distance. The success of the Patriots under B and B was that the primary goal was the first down. Then from there FG range. After that it becomes the end zone. We leave points on the field or give points away by coming up short and squandering opportunities. I cannot put this all on MLF. A mature QB and offense play these scenarios with more success. Even under MM the strength was the ability of Rodgers and the offense to " matriculate " down the field. Take what is there. Move the chains. Keep your defense off the field.

This has been an area of some concern since MLF and I’ve seen this repeated over and over. The only possible reasoning I can think of was that we didn’t trust our Kicker. Crossing the opponent 40 yard line needs to be a focal point. Since MLF has been HC we’ve had multiple drives in opponent territory that fizzled or that we’ve backwards for a Sack. That’s lost points!! Why would we call a slow developing play here?
This should be 1, maybe 2 reads and the ball comes out.

There’s several factors here but we had run repeated, low probability plays on a 3rd and medium. 3rd and 7 from the opponent 44 yard line and we’ll heave a Pass 30 yards pass incomplete or take a Sack? Most often Punting which makes no sense because if you stick the Punt inside the 10 to the 9 yard line it’s ~35 yard net, which would get you fired if you do that regularly. If the ball Runs through the Paint you’re talking a net 20 yarder. That’s egregious to set yourself up for that.
Here you should call a bang bang play. If you just run a shorter 5-7 yard-high probability play? It gives you a plethora of options more regularly.

1. You might get YAC and cross the marker for a 1st Down and control the game clock and keep their O off the field. Keeping an opponent O on sideline and opponent D on that field indefinitely.

2. You might fall 1-3 yards short. You’ve got options. Take a 56 etc.. yard FG try (option1). On a close miss 4th and 1 and just go for the conversion there (option2)

3. If you make a 1st Down to the 37 opponent 36-37 yardline you get 3 more tries for a 1st and if you miss? probability of a points FG from the
30-35 yardline is higher.

For the last 6 seasons I believe KC was the best at maximizing that position on the field. And it has won them some walk offs. Up until last year SF had a good track record at that. The Lions record started getting better when their offense began doing just that.

Good point. The Eagles, Lions are good examples of what I think GB should do. When we get inside the opponent 40-45 area, treat that like it’s 4-Down territory. Similar to if it’s 1st and Goal from the 7 or 8 yard line. I get a bonus try if I’m sniffing the 1 yard line with 3 tries. This isn’t an ultimatum because someone will try to insinuate that. It’s more of that lean aggressive. “Dan Campbell” attitude if the call is even? Be aggressive and don’t take our foot off the gas. It also silently implies you trust your Offense imo.

We’ve got the OL, RB, TE and … Kicker in place to open the throttle up.

We got burned a few times also losing focus on down and distance. Being assertive helps alleviate that because the attitude is just expect to go for it.
