Been thinking about it. They been in the league a long time and could go out Super Bowl Champs.

Can you see these guys doing that?

Nah.

Not after just signing extensions I don't think either would. Especially Woodson, He has at least another year or two left.

Driver I can see getting bumped to the bottom of the depth chart though. He's better than Swain..

Driver maybe, but Woodson will stick around.

Although, I thought I already saw an article about Driver saying he was coming back next year.

I was thinking about that this morning,... its a very good possiblity.

Both have done well, and I would miss them both terribly,...but it would be understandable if they do.
No more injuries, and kick back and enjoy life!

I've been thinking about it too, but I'm pretty sure we'll get both back next season. Drive said he wanted to play til he's 40. Of course, that was prior to being a Super Bowl champ, but the old man has still got game in him :)

Maybe the Pack can repeat, and he could go out a Double D Superbowl Champion!

My gut says they both have 1 more year. They've seen the young talent on the team, but they know the veteran presence is still needed to keep everyone's feet on the ground and heads in the air. They also know we have the talent to repeat, and who wouldn't want to miss out on that? :happy0005:

Woodson made it pretty clear last night in the post-game interviews that he would be back.

And a few weeks back I remember hearing on the radio that Driver had said he felt he had a lot left in the tank still.

Of course, at both players' ages lets see how these injuries play out. While I think (and strongly hope) that both return, I think Driver would the be the most likely of the two to retire.

Here's to another year with both guys back in the fold!!!

If there is no NFL football next year, because of the lockout, that takes away a year for playing.
And that is a big deal to the older guys.
So the Pack needed to win this one for them just in case....

If Woodson's injury heals quickly and well enough, I can see him back for a few more years.

They both have time left on their contracts. DD will play atleast 2 more years, Woodson plays DB next year and probably moves to safety after that. Woodson still has a lot left in him, on the play he got hurt he was pretty much right on even covering the speedy Wallace!

They are both still sharp and strong enough players to return, and I truly believe they will.

Besides, whats better than a superbowl ring? 2...or more.

I hope to see them both back, but I think their bodies may be at a point where they simply can not take the pounding for a full season. I hope I'm wrong.

One more for both at least..

Driver I think will take a very reduced role tho..And Chuck will do more of the free lancing stuff maybe safety? If they bring in Asomugha

If I was Driver I'd retire. His role in the offense is only going to decline with the rises of Jones and Nelson and the return of Finley. He's old and he's finally got his title. I think this would be the perfect time to ride off into the sunset.

Woodson, though, still has a bit left to prove, because he's on the cusp of being a bona fide Hall of Famer. 2 more solid years and I think it'd be tough to keep him out of the Hall.

They aren't bringing in Asomugha...they have a TON of money tied up in their DB's as it is no WAY are they going to drop another giant contract on that position.

I don't see either guy retiring this year, Woodson I'll give 3-4 years, Driver I'll give him a year or two before he retires.

This has been discussed a few times now- Driver was asked point blank by Mike Florio a few weeks ago if he would retire. Driver emphatically said no, and said he wants to play until he's 40.

That said, it is a long off-season, and minds have been known to change. I wouldn't be surprised either way.

Both will be back to win the 2nd one at least.

Driver is just a plus, he's not a key component on our team by any stretch, but he sure makes our offense better.

It's another deal with Woodson. Without him, we're an average D. We need him desperately.

Driver needs 46 yards to have the most receiving yards in Packers history I believe.
