Did the NFL Scheduling Screw UP?

The Packers and The Pittsburgh Steelers are scheduled to play their first preseason game in August at Pittsburgh.
Packer fans said the NFL screwed up and that game should be in Lambeau Field to bring back Mike MaCarthy
together with Arron Rogers, seeing Rogers say's this will be his last year.

It would light up Lambeau Field if The Steelers would even practice a couple days before.
Fans feel it would put Green Bay on the national Football map for months.

Hey Mike one thing I forgot about - Rodgers loathes the pre/season games. So even if the Packers and Steelers had a PS game at Lambeau, Rodgers likely wouldn’t take a snap.

I get your point. It would be more meaningful if they played a regular season game at Lambeau.

I wish they were playing at Lambeau during the regular season. That would be "must watch" stuff around the country.

Rodgers big day at Lambeau will come when his name goes into the ring inside Lambeau. That will be a special day.

Rodgers was on the field in a preseason game at Pittsburgh in 2015 only to see his teammate, Jordy Nelson, go down for the season.

I believe you are correct. As I recall, it was a night game and later in the season. I think Starr, in failing health, was on hand for the moment.

I was doing concessions at Lambeau that era. I recall it being a miserable cold wet rain and many in the stands started leaving right after halftime. The stands at halftime were so empty I was able to stand in one of the entrances and watch it.

Yep, it was a lousy night. I felt bad for both Favre and Starr. For both gusy, it should have been a sunny fall afternoon.

I think Starr was taken to midflied in a golf cart. He gave Favre a quick hug and that was it. Considering the nature of the moment, both Favre and Starr deserved better. Or maybe that's just how it should be at Lambeau. Toss up.

We are one of the most storied franchises in literally all of sports...."on the map" is not something we need concern ourselves with.
