Green Bay - Speaking for the first time since injuring his left hip against the Arizona Cardinals, right tackle Bryan Bulaga said that media reports regarding his injury have been inaccurate.
Bulaga said that he did not suffer a dislocated hip, as many people speculated at the time, and that the hip did not have to be moved back into place.
Bulaga said he suffered a small fracture in the hip capsule where the femur rests and that the prognosis for recovery is excellent. He said he visited a specialist in Tennessee on Tuesday and that the fracture is healing well.

Well, this makes me feel a little better about our OL situation for next year.

Whew. That's one OT we don't have to replace. Great to hear he's OK

Bulaga won't be a piece of any potential Super Bowl this year. :(

I'm not feeling it this year - Too many injuries - The Strength of our Team is neutralized by the physicality of teams like San Fran/New York ... We're gonna need Rodgers and the Offense to get in "The Zone" - or Clay and the D going on a rampage.... idk, maybe - I'm feeling Favre'ish on this season.

That's okay. I get it. I'm going to watch and see. I think they have every bit as good a chance as any other team in the NFL. Each week that secondary gets better, Oline might get some cohesion, players will be back. This team has alot of depth and many backups now have playing time. That could be huge in a big game.

Yes they should make a difference. Still leaves a lot of guys out we could use. The more I see Brad Jones play the more I miss Bishop. :(

amen to that. I still can't believe that Brad Jones was a starter almost all of his rookie season.

I can't remember who was doing the play by play, probably Buck and Aikman, who I really like. But it was one of them who instantly said on air that they thought it was a Bo Jackson like injury.....think it was Aikman?

Honestly, to me it "sort of looked the same" ... Bo Jackson was more of a twisting falling to the ground kind of a motion, but the initial "lockup" of Bulaga's hip looked similar. I first saw it and thought, "wow, that really looked awkward" It honestly didn't look good.

Glad the outlook so great. Hopefully our tackles of the future can come back strong next season in Bulaga and Sherrod. That would be great. Draft a C high up this year and our line might not be the god awful mess that it is right now. Then when TT decides he really want's to be froggy and take a RB maybe even as high as the 6th round this next year, he may have a snowballs chance of making some plays!

That is good news regarding Bulaga - no surgery to have to heal from. I wonder what the prognosis is for Sherrod? Depending upon their opinion of him and his recovery, another OT in the draft may be needed.

    For what it's worth:
Brad Jones' rookie year was the first year of Capers' 3-4, he started 7 games and had 4 sacks.
Thompson has picked a RB in the 2nd (B. Jackson) and the 3rd (Alex Green).
