So if we list by interceptions (in terms of being an "interception machine") this is how the Quarterbacks would be listed (worst -first, to best - last);

1) Bart Starr Td vs Int 0.908 - Retired
2) John Elway Td vs Int 0.753 - Retired
3) Brett Favre Td vs Int 0.638 - Active
4) Kurt Warner Td vs Int 0.615 - Active
5) Dan Marino Td vs Int 0.600 - Retired
6) Drew Brees Td vs Int 0.546 -Active
7) Joe Montana Td vs Int 0.509 - Retired
8 ) Peyton Manning Td vs Int 0.495 - Active
9) Steve Young Td vs Int 0.461 - Retired
10) Tom Brady Td vs Int 0.440 - Active

And just to mix in a few other names aswell:

Johnny Unitas Td vs Int 0.883
Joe Theismann Td vs Int 0.863
Fran Tarkenton Td vs Int 0.778
Troy Aikman Td vs Int 0.855
Don Majkowski Td vs Int 1.015

Ben Rothlisberger Td vs Int 0.638
(same as Favre, - I guess "Big Ben" is an "Interception Machine" ?)

Listed by Career, only active players:

1) Brett Favre Td vs Int 0.638 (worst)
2) Kurt Warner Td vs Int 0.615
3) Drew Brees Td vs Int 0.546
4) Peyton Manning Td vs Int 0.495
5) Tom Brady Td vs Int 0.440 (best)

Listed by this current season, only active players:

1) Kurt Warner Td vs Int 0.538 (worst)
2) Peyton Manning Td vs Int 0.485
3) Tom Brady Td vs Int 0.464
4) Drew Brees Td vs Int 0.324
5) Brett Favre Td vs Int 0.212 (best)

- Dang ! Manning is an "Interception Machine" !!!

This is something that puzzles me, because I've never once heard anyone label John Elway, nor Bart Starr, Johnny Unitas, Joe Theismann for that matter, not to mention Troy Aikman as an "interception machine", however, if that is what Favre is, then the same must be applied to them ?

Again, I reiterate, I'm not saying he doesn't have flaws in his game, however, that is how he plays, and have played for most of his career ... - It's part of what makes him so exiting to watch ...

But to use simple-minded arguements, without looking at the stats in context nor making the effort to actually look them up to see if they actually substantiate your claim, just make those that use them look all the more foolish ...

Lets put those interceptions in the context of WTF WERE YOU THINKING THROWING THAT #$@&#%@ BALL TO THE 3 DEFENSIVE PLAYERS WHEN THE GAME IS ON THE LINE BRETT.

It is all about context after all ;)

Ofcourse :) - then again, I've never seen a team win a game without risking something ...

You are putting way to much emphasis's on stats, great QBs make great plays when they have too, but you have to watch the game to see it and know it. Stats can't and will never tell the whole story.

Facts do not equal stats, they are not the same.

- That is exactly what I've been advocating and saying all along ... - Yet whenever you and similar bring up stats, it seems to be "fact", but when I or other posters for that matter, use those same stats, - suddenly you want to dismiss them ? ...

I'm sorry, but you can't have it both ways ...

I don't put alot into stats alone, quite on the contrary, which should be quite evident if you look at what stats I'm referring to ...

I did NOT say Favre didn't have alot of interceptions, however, I am contesting the "notion" that he is an "interception machine" as some of you claim ... - Again putting (your and similars) stats and arguement into context ...

Brett just tends to throw em at the WORST POSSIBLE MOMENT!!!

He also owns the stat for most INTs ever by a QB. You forgot to add that.

Yeah, Farve throws a lot of TDs, but when you also toss balls up for grabs like he would do in big games, it kind of negates em imo.

Hmmmmm....
I noticed that you left off Aaron Rodgers from the current list.
Where would he fit in?
