The bike riding question is halfway down...guess who started it?

For old farts like me this is one of my faves from the Packers website.

I can still remember watching "The Vince Lombardi Show" with Al Sampson in the '60's.

In my opionion the bike riding tradition is not only one of the best things about the Packers it is one of the best things in all of sports. Great tradition, great for the Packers, great for Green Bay, great for football. and most of all great for the kids.

I too remember "The Vince Lombardi Show" Of course I was very young.

Nothing like seeing Big (over 300 #) Packer OG Tauscher riding this little bike to the Packer practice field and back with the proud Green Bay kid running beside the bike. It is the best tradition that has developed over the years here at Green Bay. Packer Chick, you would be in some pretty tough competition with all the Green Bay kids wanting a Packer to ride their bike.

I was trying to find a picture of big ol' Gilbert Brown or Grady Jackson riding a fan's bike, but the best I could find was Flanny. A great tradition. An experience like that for a kid is better than any autograph in my opinion.
