Post them up....my prediction:

Offense - 24
QB (2) - Love and Willis (if true that Elgersma can be kept under the international exemption that is a no brainer)
RB (3) - Jacobs, Wilson and Brooks (Lloyd IR)
WR (6) - Doubs, Reed, Wicks, Golden, Williams and Heath
TE (4) - Kraft, Musgrave, Sims, FitzPatrick
OL (9) - Tom, Jenkins, Banks, Walker, Morgan, Rhyan, Belton, Telfort, Kinnard (Monk & Glover IR)

Defense - 26
DL (6) - Clark, Wyatt, Brooks, Wooden, Stackhouse, Brinson
DE (5) - Gary, LVN, Enagbare, Cox, Sorrell
LB (5) - Cooper, Quay, McDuffie, Hopper, Welch (Simmons just misses)
CB (5) - Valentine, Nixon, Hobbs, King, Melton
S (5) - McKinney, Williams, Anderson, Bullard, Oladapo

ST - 3
McManus, Whelan, Orzech

*Collin Oliver and John Williams likely start on IR or PUP as well.....

Elgersma is Canadian so can't be an exemption.

Only thing is with all the potential IR guys how is that going to play out. Thought only 2 could be designated to return pre-53 cut. That means the other 3 if designated to return would need to be on the 53 then IR'd and designated? (Not sure if any of those are season ending ones.. thought all the potential IR guys were not full season types)

Ultimately curious how they handle the IR stuff.

Other than that don't see any differences. Would have liked to see Simmons over Welch, but play hasn't supported that.

Lloyd will for sure be one designated to return IF they choose to go Brooks over him...the second one is likely going to go to Collin Oliver I'd bet, but maybe they "redshirt" him for the year - which for the record is what it seems John Williams is heading towards.

Watson I believe will have to be one of the IR to return for sure.

Another avenue is they don't keep 6 WRs - 4 TEs and Melton in the CB room as emergency WR help plus all the 12 personnel we run could just have them slap Watson on the 53 as a psuedo 53 and play the player shuffling game elsewhere...

I could envision so many ways to handle our final 3 or so spots of this 53 and IR....

Excellent list, Tyni... almost exactly my 53 guess, except Ballentine in, King out.

I believe Watson on PUP exempts him from the 53. Must be out first 4 weeks minimum, then has 5 weeks after activation to be added to 53.

Lloyd & Oliver would be my IR/return back guys, others IR'd are done for the year. Highly doubt Monk or Jennings would be signed by another team so release at cut down, bring back on PS.

Really thought Lecitus Smith played well-enough at OC for a spot, but think a 4th TE is more valuable than a backup OC. Should make PS.

Hearing rumblings that with Hopper showing out and Cooper proving he is the real deal....and toss in McDuffie security blanket another year that Quay trade calls might be happening or would be embraced....

I'm trying to confirm this speculation with one of my two better sources...but also this is not the time to try and burn out a contact.

I’m with you. This is a betting hand and it breaks standard protocol at WR6. If there is a change I’m going outside the Box of crowd favorites.
Will Sheppard?? might get the nod. He’s looked just fantastic and room to grow. He was also being moved around so it’s our staff secretly asking what else is he good at? Love Ballentine he’s Teams and he brings experience back to a shaky depth chart.

You get to select another OL though you only have 8 names.
If I could Piggyback please.
Jennings has bounced back, but?… too little too late.
Monk has as Hamstring.

My pick is Telfort, he’s played both Tackle positions pretty decent and he’s an absolute Mountain of a Man. Makes Daniel Boone look small.

Hahaha... Daniel Boone was actually about 5'-10". Fess Parker, who played Daniel Boone on TV in the 60's/70's was 6'-5.5" though. Telfort is 6'-7", 322+.

Hmmm. My recollection was that Daniel Boone was as tall as a Mountain!” He could Whoop a Bear and out run a Deer! You’re crushing a Boys hero telling me he’s 5’10 and 322lbs! This is worse than the day I found out my Dad was the Tooth Fairy!!

Seriously thiugh. Listen as long as Telfort matches Daniel Boone’s fame I could care less about Boone having an eye like an Eagle.

Your list is good. The only two changes that I could see would be:

Offense - keep Lecitus Smith and let Fitzpatrick go. We have seen what not having a backup center does to this team, and Smith played well. We can have a 4th TE on the practice squad.

Defense - Stackhouse has potential but I think that he could easily go on the practice squad to start the season, allowing us to keep Simmons. I don't like Simmons so far but recognize that he is an excellent ST player. Consider him our new Jarrett Bush.

This is just picking pepper out of fly doo-doo though. I really hope that Gute goes back to the Ron Wolf style of churning the bottom of the roster and practice squad throughout the season.

On board with the smith and Fitz but Stackhouse one hundred percent I think gets picked up on waivers faster than Isaiah Simmons even does and would.

We need Stack. He really the only >320 DT we have if I’m not mistaken? Just seems logical he’s our Block eater and he looked pretty good on some film review. He stacks houses and shedhouses.

I really haven't a clue. Have to trust in the staff.

I do trust them. I just doubt our Staff rolls with a Roster where the Heaviest guy is 315lb area.
The bulk of teams (pun intended!) have that Gervin Dexter/DJ reader/Jordan Davis type Rostered.

Yes he has size. What I had heard is he played well initially but didn't keep it up. So no clue. Size or no, he has to play well.

The odds are against him. Only because Brinson has been pretty Good. It’s true there are only so many spots at DT though.
He did record a Stuff, Pass defense and 4 Tackles in his limited preseason. That’s more disruptive energy than Eric stokes had in 17 games last year. Lol (sadly not joking)
