Goes to show us how even a Top 200 selection can have a significant impact. Runyon and Walker are our best producers on OL in Day3 between the 2020,2021,2022 drafts. (6 players) and both were picked in the last 75 players in the draft and both are starters.
I know that not all players are thankful to their respective drafting teams. However, how could they ever not be thankful when a team picks them over dozens of prospects available in that top 200 area. Plus 32 teams passed on them at least 5+ times.
It’s like hitting the lotto to get drafted, for many reasons, including protections and benefits the league gives drafted players who are time vested.
It’s the BIG LOTTO when you’ve finished your rookie contract for that team as a starter and it’s a team you enjoy playing for and you’ve been successful. He’s about to get paid by someone and it’ll make his Rookie contract look smaller. Good for him
