I know I'm in the minority, but I thought Spriggs looked average when he played last year. Which of course was a huge improvement.

I do think it's possible (note-- I am using the word "possible," not "certain" or "smart") that they still think Spriggs could be something and want to give it one more season.

He's been around a while but he's only 24.

I think he has 2 things going for him, 3 years of experience and the Packers not being exceptionally deep at OT. That said, this is the final year of his contract and cutting him before the 53 saves the Packers $1,132,404. Not a "lot" of money in the NFL, but if he is injured or just playing equal to the younger guys, I can see a scenario where he is gone and not just because of the money, but for the roster spot.

Does the new O scheme help or hinder players such as Spriggs, Patrick, or McCray? Does Bulaga look old and slow in it <insert old dog quote>?
