Maybe this year is supposed to be the Story about the Milwaukee Brewers?Should be a good LCS.
I think we both know it will be the usual - the Dodgers and "the team the Dodgers are playing"Maybe this year is supposed to be the Story about the Milwaukee Brewers?

Exactly. kinda like a broken record.I think we both know it will be the usual - the Dodgers and "the team the Dodgers are playing"![]()
Now... you just keep doing that.Exactly. kinda like a broken record.
I used to feel that way about the Yankees.
All I know is this is the Series I’ve fallen asleep twice in the 7th inning stretch. Only to wake up to a Win! This has been fun.. I’m both rested and relaxed with nice Wins!

They had lost an unreal 12-straight road playoff games. The win last night was sweet. And the Padres were a lot better than I anticipated. Bring on the Dodgers, again…….Gasser vs Buehler, tonight. Brewers need to close it out and prove to themselves they can win big games on the road.
Positive waves man positive wavesI just kept telling them. "You are the Best Team is Baseball. You got this".
No one expects them to beat the Dodgers. But they can do it. They just have to play their game.
Can we assume the same pitching rotation?Brewers win!! Come home to rest, 1st game against the Dodgers is Sunday.
Yes, guessing it'll be:Can we assume the same pitching rotation?
Only made 4 innings vs San Diego due to a high pitch count... right now he's at 66 with 2 out in the 3rdOur ace is looking shaky in his second playoff start. As dominant as he was this season he might need another year or two of seasoning before he's really ready for the postseason.
I think that's become the book on Miz - make contact and let him burn himself out. Teams that can hit well will just make contact and foul one after the other off. Go Crew ...
I think the announcers said he needs to be completely sure of his fastball before he starts throwing much of anything else. He might want to rethink that. At least sprinkle in some other stuff. Especially if he's ahead in the count.I think that's become the book on Miz - make contact and let him burn himself out. Not only that... from what I've been able to find, they're now 6-24 on the road in the postseason all time - that's .200 ball.I heard 12 consecutive playoff road game losses. Enough of that s**t beginning tonight.
They won one in San Diego ending that streak I think. ...but playing in LA might add to the frustration I fear. I don't like those guys. Not only that... from what I've been able to find, they're now 6-24 on the road in the postseason all time - that's .200 ball.
I submit that Milwaukee is a more favorable environment for them.
Now that they have home field advantage through the postseason, it's quite possible they could stretch that 12 consecutive game record to 18 consecutive postseason road losses and still win the World Series. I dunno if that's some sort of record, but if it isn't, it sure seems to me that it ought to be.
Another interesting statistical quirk... of the 4 remaining teams in MLB, all 4 of them are division winners. There have been no upsets in the wild card round; in each first round matchup, the team with the better record won the series. In the divisional round, each series was won by a division leader.
Of the 4 teams with the best regular season record, 3 of them are still playing in the league championship series. The reason the 4th of the 4 best teams (Atlanta) is out is because they were bounced by the 2nd best team, the Dodgers. Only 1 of the 2 could advance, and it was the better of the 2 teams. Atlanta is also the only division winner to lose a series, I believe.
I really don't know if I've ever seen that before; at least, I certainly don't remember it. Not a single actual upset in the first 2 rounds.
As fans of the team with the best regular season record in the majors, I think it's safe to say we're all hoping that pattern continues all the way into November!
