As always don't take these as gospels, however they are a recognized metric for grading performance right, wrong or eh...

I will say I did not expect more than maybe one or two guys to be sniffing 70 on offense...but the evaluators and reviewers graded this game IMO slightly harder than I normally see. I mean LVN alone not being at a 90 kinda shocked me...I gotta watch the tape but dude was unfire. Not surprised by anyone other than Watson on offense...but my hunch is they may have given him a drop on that crosser he got "LIT UP" on and he did blow a couple run blocks (flagged on one)....so maybe it does make more sense...anyways here we go. Remember minimum 10 snaps needed for me to list them.

Best 5 Offense
Mark Redman - 66.9
Matthew Golden - 66.6
Jacob Monk - 62.3
Jordan Morgan - 59.9
Aaron Banks - 55.0

Worst 5 Offense
Chris Brooks - 42.5
Donovan Jennings - 45.4
Tucker Kraft - 47.5
Christian Watson - 48.4
Jonnu Smith - 50.0

Best 5 Defense
Lukas Van F****** Ness - 81.2
Evan Williams - 77.2
Javon Bullard - 76.6
*pause* outside of the boneheaded taunting move on Bullard that I disagreed was deserving - these three dudes play this good we are going to be in any game I bet. They were fantastic.
Barryn Sorrel - 74.1
Edgerrin Cooper - 65.8

Worst 5 Defense
Jonathan Ford - 29.8
Keisean Nixon - 41.2
Chris McClellan - 41.3
Devonte Wyatt - 49.9
Karl Brooks - 55.4

Interesting, thanks. What is the source?

Your opinion, why is Monk among the top 5 on O?

I missed the game so these rankings help.

LVN seems like a different player. Great to see him doing so well, esp w Parsons out. I admit I had all but given up on him. Happy to be wrong about that. And Cooper was good and he’s turning out great.

It looks like PFF graded him at 79.5 as a pass rusher overall but he did score an 89.5 pass rushing against true pass sets (i.e., no play action, no screens). Also, he was below average in his 6 snaps in coverage.

Not a fan of big guys in coverage but I guess it might have to be taken into consideration if it was done to allow a blitzer to have a better shot at the QB.

Well at least Redman scored good at TE. I’m not too concerned with Kraft or Jonnu as I think we’ll see a gradual upward trajectory.

I agree though I would’ve guessed LVN had a mid 80’s type game. Also did Chris Brooks pee towards the Ref or what?

Chris Brooks looks lost on pass protection at times...which is INSANE because the dude has been a walking tutorial on how to do it for ANYONE in the league. I suspect some of it is trickle down effect of the OL being such a mess...but I'll go as far to say very good chance Brooks may find his way off this team when Jacobs comes back and gets up to running again. KJ had some really good pass block reps and could become that 3rd down option with a much harder sledge style running option that Brooks just isn't....

To be fair to Brooks I actuall think he's been a much more decisive runner when asked this year - more like that college prospect I remember he was. I am liking the backfield right now and they're doing enough behind a OL that struggles to do anything of help at times to them.

Every game. I won’t fail to miss it.
Just pure curiosity, especially since this was edited - what exactly are you saying? Sort of sounds like you don't like this type of thread and won't read it, but that can't be worth posting.

The backfield is what it is. Playing the Jets, Falcons, and Dolphins is good medicine before the real defenses.

Just a note and I agree with the overall sentiment. 2 games in NY is ranked #1 in the NFL on Defense at 197.0 yards per contest. While they didn’t face some high echelon opponents, they’ve allowed 13.5 points per game in Regulation. My guess is Defensively they’ll finish middle to upper of the NFL. So we did just face 2 good Defenses. You’re right though, Those teams overall are likely not to make playoffs.
Interesting note. The leading RB and WR for NY combined for 89 yards. Wilson and Hall are a very good pairing, so that surprised me. I thought Breece was injured, yet he rushed 16-29 yards. We shut their silly pregame talk down.

We all know Braelon Allen is not a bad RB. 5-7 yards.
