Thank you Great Day for our team as a whole. Probably Golden’s BEST Day so far. Do you think it’s possible (they graded Wyatt (32 snaps/ 2 TFL/ 2 Sacks/ 1 QB Hit) with someone else’s grade? That’s the only oddball that stood out.

This was a huge team win after all the slander our Staff and players took. Really could’ve been a +31 point differential just with missed Kicks alone

Possible...but I know defensively missed tackles appear to hit ones grading very hard (understandable) and PFF at least credits him with two missed tackles. IF I can find the time to rewatch the game with isolated interest in player reps and not watching the game I'll be sure to keep an eye on him.

For Morgan, I presume (once again) he was passable to good in pass protection, dreadful in the run game?

Perhaps the same for Glover, but worse?

This is where Ty's quote of "don't take it as gospel" rings true. Wyatt was a huge contributor for us. If that's the way he gets graded for a preformance like that? I'll tak that grade every Sunday, Monday and Thursday :)

Yeah pass pro he's definitely better...but even that he needs to improve IMO.

He may be better at protection but I saw the pass rusher run around him at least a couple of times in the first half.

The OL faced 34 pass rush snaps...We gave up 8 pressures, with Morgan being 3 of those and the only 2 sacks. He still won 92.6% of his pass rush snaps, but like my coach said sometimes it isn't if you will lose it is how badly you will lose.

Never said he didn't need to improve there, just that I at least see a LT in pass pro. In run blocking, he's clearly thinking too much.

I'm annoyed we tried to hard to make him a guard rather than let him be the swing tackle. He should have 2 years of practice at tackle and more than 1 game of snaps there.

Morgan i am really pulling for. That % sounds good but the 2 sacks really stand out. I believe in him and think he will be above average by the end of the season. And really good in a year or 2 (about the time his rookie deal is up).

The run stopping is important. The teams that have a good running attacks are the ones that would give our defense the biggest problems. Teams that can stop the run will find the late season success. We saw the Ravens last season, the Falcons this season, and we face some more in 2026 like Buffalo who pounded the rock against the Rams. Now the team did an amazing job of getting the Bears out of the run game and forcing a backup QB to try and beat us.

The only two sacks in the game were the last 2 plays of the first half. One was the hail mary attempt which takes a very long time comparatively. JL10 typically moves up to escape pressure whereas AR12 would roll out.

Yep.
I also recall on 1 play Wyatt pursued through the Whistle and you’ll probably recall it didn’t end well for Bagent.
Yes, he picked up 5 yards running toward the Paint but when he cut back he met Wyatt at full tilt. Frankly I was surprised Bagent stood up that quickly that’s a type play they miss time for a concussion.

PFF is somewhere between cogent analysis and the palm reader at the fair. It all comes down to the grader.

Yeah. I think you have to kinda take our own internal grade and apply those PFF grades to round up or down. PFF is still a fun tool for measuring players.

Again as Tyni said, it’s not a perfect grading system, but it’s what we’ve got and it beats the alternative of singular opinion. I’m thankful there’s an entity that at least offers deeper perspective.

What if the AI calculated the increase in production and demanded a healthy raise in payment?!:coffee:
Thirty years from now I'll come on here after a couple beers and write how AIs just aren't what they used to be, back when they was real AIs.

I'm actually curious if anyone here who follows PFF more closely (and has over the years) has noticed a shift in their grading in any appreciable way lately. My understanding was that earlier this year they were sold off, and that roughly 50% of their employees were laid off too...And the report was that the majority of employees who were retained were for the internal/direct-to-NFL staff while most of the consumer-facing staff were gone. I don't know if that has been noticeable with grading or not however

To me things have not suprised me as much as prior....BUT that's purely anecdotal. I was unaware of their sale or changes.
