[QUOTE="PWT36, post: 75279, member: 170"] As vegomatic posted -Also , One of my disappointing moments is seeing some Packer fans on this topic who dwell on their Packer's disappointing moments in Packer History I prefer to remember the great era of 1992-2004, when the Packers had thirteen non losing season(record 139 wins- 73 losses) and and the best NFL franchise winning per centage of any franchise in the NFL between 1993-2004 . Packers participated in 20 post season games including participating in two Super Bowls and winning a Super Bowl, which was first one they have won since 1967. Also I am thankful that even after going 4-14 in 2005, because in this era of competitive balance (salary Cap and Free Agency,) any NFL team ,even the Packers can completely turn a losing record around in one season. The Chargers did it in 04 with a record of 12-4 after going 4-12 in '03 . Pittsburgh Steelers went 6-10 in '03 , and were 15-1 in '04 and won the Super Bowl in '05. The Bears had losing season in '03 & '04 and were NFC North Champions in '05. Patriots were 5-11 in 2000 and 11-5 in '01. . I am a Green Bay born and raised Packer fan of over 60 years. I know about the Packers losing. I and other older Packer fans have gone through 1948-1958 (Packer record during that era 37-93-3) and the very long mostly losing era of 1968-1991 (Packer record 146 wins 201 losses- 9 ties) But the "Packer glory years" when the Packers won five World Championship(including the first two Super Bowls) during the 1959-1967 Lombardi coached "Packer teams more than made up for those 10 years of losing from 1948-1958. Just as as this last era of 1992-2004 more than made up from the mostly losing era of 1968- 1991. I guess, what I am trying to say is I have learned to look at Packer football like the old saying goes "Looking at the glass half full, instead of half empty." It was very necessary for a good Packer fan remain optimistic every year if one was to survive as a Packer fan during those losing eras of the Packers mentioned above. By the way, the conditions of Packer franchise caused those long losing eras in Packer history in those earlier days ,do not exist in the modern Packer franchise anymore, and things have also, changed in NFL too. I could elaborate on this, but this posting is already too long. so I am optimistic the the Packers will have another winning season in a short period of time.. But only time will prove that.
