My son and I are making the 7.5 hr drive to Detroit next Friday, to watch the Tigers vs Astros Saturday @ 1pm. After a 6-23 record in May, the Tigers are 11-6 in June. Hopefully we get to see a good game... as in a Tigers victory. Regardless, just spending a weekend with my son is a W in my book.

Stopped a 3 game skid with a convincing W.
Jeez Louize. Remind me NOT to bring up W-L records again!
Hey OS - I don't understand your comment about bringing up W-L records. What's going on with that?

The Bewers played very well against the Braves in a matchup of equals. Both teams are in the hunt for the WSs, right now that is…...

I was frustrated at the coaching decision to put pitch Uribe in the 7th & Ashby in the 9th... coaching error to lose the game, imho.

A lot of those decisions are made due to statistics. Managers/pitching coaches look at how each available pitcher has pitched against the guys that are due up in that inning. How fresh their arms are, lefty VS righty, etc. While I often share your frustration, as a buddy of mine always says when I **** and moan about a managers decision, usually after the fact of a failure, they know what they are doing.

no it’s just that we were on a roll and then after my comment, the next 3 were losses. It’s ok I was being sarcastic. MB are doing great. I mean they outscored a very good a
Braves team by 2 Runs that last series.

...and pitched VERY well!! :)
6 innings, one hit and 10!!...count 'em 10 strikeouts!! Brewer bats went silent for most of the night. 3 hits in 10 innings and they still win. We'll take it but I wish they had done that against the Braves or the Dodgers, you know? I guess Brady Singer, and his 3-6 record and 4.81 ERA gets paid too, huh?

Woody pitched a good game. It is good to have him back.

Not only is Woody back, but he tossed six dominant, nearly perfect innings in his return! He took a perfect game into the 6th inning, finishing his outing with 10 strikeouts, allowing just 1 hit and zero walks on 79 pitches.

Brandon Sproat went out there last night and basically duplicated Woody's dominance. 6 innings, 1 hit and 10 K's! That was Sproat's career high in strikeouts. He also retired the 1st 9 Reds in a row that he faced, with 6 strike outs! Oddly enough, just like Woody, Sproat gave up his only hit in the 6th inning and threw 80 pitches. :D

Good timing on good pitching, because the Brewers bats are quiet and they aren't scoring many runs.

I've bellyached about Sproat... even referred to him as S(r0te, so now I have to give him his accolades as well. I'm betting that'll make him feel better knowing that he gets a Weeds Attaboy Award. That stat line is very impressive.

Particularly good timing for him to come thru since the Crew isn't scoring a lot of runs and their bats have been momentarily semi-retired. Right Poker?
