Even the "game manager" QBs, whose teams win most games primarily with defense and running the ball and don't have impressive passing stats, still have to make good decisions with the ball, don't turn the ball over, read defenses, provide team leadership, complete difficult passes under pressure from opposing defenses in the critical moments of a game/3rd down, and be able lead the offense down the field on a game winning drive in close games. These are things rookie qbs are not known for. Not to mention that QBs usually also have to learn a new offense, scheme, and get familiar with playing with the new teammates, when switching teams. So, I do think that there is going to be a transition period.</blockquote>
