This guy gets harder and harder to put up with every year. i wonder how they were able to wake him from his alcohol induced offseason hibernation long enough to offer this insightful perspective on this utterly unexamined subject. thanks a lot madden.

"Apr 12 WBAY.com reports NFL analyst John Madden is the latest to chime in on what he thinks Green Bay Packers QB Brett Favre is thinking. He told the NFL Network he thinks Favre is trying to force the Packers to trade him. Madden said he hasn't spoke to Favre, but he's just listening to what the quarterback has been saying. Madden admits Favre has told him and others that he won't play anywhere but for the Packers, but he still thinks Favre would rather play for a team that has a better chance to win the Super Bowl." if madden would put the hot dog, bbq sandwich, turducken leg, mac and cheese, and the bucket of crisco down for a second he would have heard the right things. its hard to hear over the sound of chewing.
Why cant they just stop talking about it..... let the man decide, hes not holding anything up.... what are we gonna do go get one of those awesome new qbs on the FA market?

everyone just needs to RELAX

Exactly. Enjoy the baseball season.

I don't even read articles with the word "Favre" in the title anymore because I know it's just going to be idiotic speculation like this.

20+ years of this banter is getting him in the football HOF this year. Maybe Jerry Kramer should have gone that route instead of being the best at his position when he played.

Madden wants Favre to change teams so that people will shell out big bucks for the revised version of Madden 2006.

Not to be a smart *** but it would be 2007, seeing how madden 2006 is already out. That could be the reason or madden has just woke up from a comma.
