Some takeaways for me from this one: -I am totally for trading Rodgers after this season because of how close retirement is getting for him. I think they need to get lots of assets while they still can, even if they trade him one year too early. That said, they will really miss him in spots like last night. He guided that team through a terrible situation and got the win. Furthermore, while I think the guy is personally pretty distasteful, that image of him complaining to the ref while actively getting drug to the ground by Zach Allen is one of my favorite images ever. Lastly, the guy really wants to win and if you doubt that, look at him throw his body out there in the attempt at the goal line. -LaFleur is one of the best offensive minds in the game and he is overthinking things in goal line situations. -The offensive line is doing a better job right now of executing gap and power runs than they are zone. -The defensive front has looked really impressive; PFF thinks Lowry is about the same as he's been, but he's serious popping for me this season. Gary has leveled up. Preston isn't quite as effective as a rusher as I thought he'd be, but still far better than in 2020. If and when this unit gets Z back... look out. Kyler Murray is awesome, but he's also fragile and I think maybe a little soft-- hitting him early and often paid dividends. -Campbell absolutely changes this defense and we need to continue to credit Barry for getting Campbell to this level because he hasn't been a startable guy for years. -Stokes got crushed on that savvy early look by Hopkins, but the kid can play. -Winning games in this spot means you have to be good, gritty, and lucky. The Packers had their luck tonight-- a tipped pass that got intercepted, a fumble that went out of bounds, Green not looking for the ball, etc.
