Oh trust me. You wouldn’t believe me if I told you what granddaddy H.L. was involved in during the 50’s-70’s. He made the DC snipers look like ***** cats and I’ll let you do that research yourself. I don’t need to end up missing after a nice meal like Hoffa or at a Dallas, Memphis or LA Coroners office. It is however very interesting how the city of KC was selected in the merger. H.L.’s right hand man (who self admittedly had zero to do with oil, diamonds or anything football related but was asked to make executive decisions on all of those) was told once again to get involved as Hunt didn’t like anyone who might pose a conflict of interest in his affairs and only trusted someone he thought was somewhat deficient. His helper then went to his adjoining office and researched where radio stations were located throughout the country (Hunt owned “Life Line” and used it as a propaganda launchpad) Old Currington then crossed that with populations of cities and crossed that with cities without a professional Football team close by. The Dallas Texans became the Cowboys and Chiefs shortly afterwards. What today would take a firm of knowledgeable lawyers and millions in resources to research, was made possible over one simple man eating a Baloney sandwich for his lunch hour. And that my friends… is the rest of the story (Tipping my hat to Paul Harvey)
