The injury avalanche continues. Perhaps Jaylon Smith can rush the passer from the outside to help offset Rivers season ending knee injury. He's a better than average blitzer and has 8 career sacks. Maybe it's time to trade Lucas Patrick for an OLB. With Preston Smith banged up, Packers are down to two healthy OLB's on the roster. As each day passes, the Packers injury epidemic looks more and more like last year's SF team.

Trading away an OL that can start at three spots in reserve with two guys out and another with injury presently would be unwise

Time to raid someone's Practice Squad for an OLB...
Dolphin's - Jabaal Sheard (age 32, anything left?) - 6'-3", 265 lbs.
Bear's - Charles Snowden - 6'-6", 245 lbs.?
Brown's - Curtis Weaver - 6'-2", 265 lbs.?
Texan's Derek Rivers - 6'-5", 250?
Raider's- Gerri Green - 6'-4", 250?
Charger's - Josh Watson - 6-2", 240lbs
NY Jets - Hamilcar Rashed - 6'-2", 250 lbs.
Pittsburgh's (& GB tc) - Delontae Scott - 6'-5", 246lbs.
Elevate Tipa Galaei - 6'-5", 230lbs?

If a move needs to be made for depth I'd prefer Sheard (although continually being protected on PS) or bringing back Delontae Scott.

Smith projects inside more than outside or maybe as a high-brid of both. He's bigger than Burks so more likely to do that, but he could also be a big ILB and a thumper.

The Packers have Jonathan Garvin and La'Darius Hamilton on the roster as well. I don't think than any other team would be interested in giving up a talented edge rusher in a trade for Patrick. In addition tyni correctly pointed out that the Packers desperately need him at this point.
