As far as the Packers, this probably moves the needle slightly in the Free Agent direction but not by much. With his level of play in 2025, I thought that the Packers would give him a team-friendly offer and then let him test the market. This incident just confirms that decision to some degree.

I don't think there is any chance he is back let alone on a 1 year team friendly deal. Tackles are getting paid and seen him in the 20M/year range.

When hearing what some Packer fans think Rasheed should sign for or will get in free agency it just reaffirms that folks choose to ignore facts and evidence before making statements....

He has proven to be a LT in the NFL. At times has looked great, at other times adaquate. Either way, starting level LTs don't grow on trees and he will get paid. Only way he averages less than $20M/Year is if the number of years grows to the point that number dips down some.

Luckily the Packers learned that while he has his moments of great play, he isn't reliable enough to pay that kind of money to...or at least I hope that they learned it.

Yeah Rasheed is a great example like Cole Van Lanen or even Runyan...does he continue to grow and mature in his knowledge, skills and such and become say a top 20 LT in the league consistently - he could. Or he could continue to be a starter but low level at times...

This is actually a PRIME example of the decision which I promise everyone - some idiots are going to come on here in 2027 or 2028 and blast off:

Rasheed is resigned by us and underperforms - *PEOPLE WILL SCREAM Gute is ignorant and they knew he sucked...
Rasheed walks and signs big contract elsewhere and does awesome - *PEOPLE WILL SCREAM Gute is ignorant and should have signed him as he was clearly amazing.

*Those people are the exact same people...they just wait for hindsight.

It’s vitally important to check state laws and regulations on the bs.

I agree with this statement except the "bs" part. Why are laws and regulations "bs"?

I respect the 2nd amendment, but ignorance of laws, regulations, requirements, etc. as it pertains to a firearm is just that, ignorance.

Given the cost of the position (LT), I would rather not bet on enough improvement to pay him like a top 20 LT. Throw in injury potential and the 1st round investment into Morgan, and I would be disappointed if the Packers try to compete with other teams for what I predict will be an overpay for Walker.

I think what he is getting it is the different laws and regulations in some states compared to others. It has always been that way but more so in modern times. Some states have high state income taxes. Some have low ones. Some have none. Property taxes fall in much the same way. Wherever you go, get yourself schooled. Or stay where you are.

No doubt that there are different laws and regulations between States. Heck, there are different laws between Towns, Villages, Cities, Counties and Parishes of the same State. If you live in a neighborhood with an HOA, yours might be different than the one a block away.

No doubt (in my mind), that if you are an adult, you should be aware laws and regulations that pertain to you, within your own municipality and in any municipality/state you plan on traveling to. No different than traveling to another country.

Calling them "BS", was what I disagreed with. I mean you can think that they are BS, but that doesn't change them. If you don't want to abide by them because they are BS, in your view, then don't live/visit that place.
