Didn't seem like he was trying to hide anything and disclosed his gun. But New York has strict laws.

Anyone predict any impact for him on the roster?

Weird.. seemed like he was following the rules. Must have missed something New York specific.

Shouldn't harm him, but then again.. New York.

No. Not certain of the actual charge. But in other states the statutes may be different.

It’s vitally important to check state laws and regulations on the bs. I’m a big gun guy and I live in the twin ports in Minnesota right next to superior wi. Wi honors my permit to carry in Minnesota however an example is that in Minnesota signs that say “we ban gun on these premises” in MN hold no power in the law you can go in carrying. Now in Wi if a place has that same sign it holds the power of the law and you can get in trouble if you got caught. I disagree with the state rules and I believe if you are a responsible adult and take the courses you should be able to go anywhere in the US with it.

Here in the Dakotas we carry everywhere...except Fed buildings...No way into an airport with TSA..he should know that for sure. As a 12 kid i would carry long gun cases with shotguns inside all through the airports in CA... LAX and SF... 1970s nobody would say a word. good times.

I’ve got a safe full of guns at home. 24 years in the military. Airborne Ranger 11B. I also guided big game in Alaska for many years. I get guns. I’m currently travelling to AZ and am staying on a military installation. A) can’t bring one onto a military installation B) not worth the hassle to me to learn the gun laws in every state I travel through. If you feel the need to carry a gun around with you, you better learn the gun laws of every jurisdiction you travel through. It’s absolutely no more complicated than that. BTW if I’m a GM thinking about this guy? I’m questioning his judgement and where he’s going and what he’s doing that he feels he needs to be carrying a firearm. Not saying he doesnt have the right. But I also have the right to ask the question. I carry a gun when I need one. IMO people who feel they need one to go to Walmart (yes I’ve seen it), are kind of wierd. It may be their right, but they also have the right to hike up their leg and fart in the checkout line. Also kind of wierd.

Shouldn't be. I'd be packing in New York too. Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

He had it locked up then declared it (was probably is what you need to do for vast majority of states) so not like he was walking around with it like the old west.

These state laws would mean you have to keep your gun in your home state. So how else can it be transported to where your destination is located? Kind of ridiculous.

yes, I get that. but its NY so you need to triple up and make sure their not going to get you...like call ahead or go day before and ask about process. Mailing a gun is also a big deal, you must break the gun down and mail it in parts. LOL guess an NFL tackle should just hire a body guard for the trip.

Any intelligent person would check first before flying into New York with their strict gun laws. What a moron.

While a dumb move. Has he not said anything? They probably never would have known. So he pays for being honest. That sucks. If this impacts his roster spot, it says more about the team than it does him. When I drive through Chicago on my way back to WI, do you think for one moment I lock up my gun in my trunk? Only a moron would do that. But I'm not announcing it to anyone if I get stopped. Live and learn.

Will not effect his roster spot at all, NY is FOS with it’s gun laws, and now this may have and impact on his ability to carry unless this is dismissed, IMO
