Shocked by the pick. I think we have so much talent in the WR room, but as Gute and others said, they were true to their board. I suspect they had a much higher grade on him.

As far as the player, my first thoughts were he has bad hands. So that is a big concern. It doesn't seem common that guys are able to correct that.

As far as the player, he is very interesting. I think we have a very creative offensive coaches. I am excited to see how we end up using him and what he can do for this offense. He will be a unique weapon for sure. I see a lot of orbit motions with runs, screens, or splitting the seem.

Overall I like the pick, a lot, and that is primarily because of what MLF can do with him.
Yeah, what I read about the hands wasn't good. Because of his size, and if he can learn to catch the ball b4 he thinks about running with it, he sure could be a niche player who could stick around I guess. But I doubt he's good enough to keep around if he doesn't catch the ball, and very well. I do have to say that I don't know what his roles wii be.

For myself, our using multiple Day1-2 selections at WR doesn’t give me a heavy vote of confidence in several players.
I can see the question marks on both Watson and Doubs. Both are not only in a contract year, but both have had substantial injuries that are concerning. You’d have to reasonably plan for replacing Watson for likely a 1/2 season or more.. Enters Golden.

Then do you sign Doubs to a sizable deal? That doesn’t give me warm and fuzzies. It’s likely 1 of those 2 are gone in 2026 imo. I think Savion is insurance on Doubs and Golden insurance on Watson. It also gives us better leverage to not feel we have to overpay either player if we do retain them.
