Sorrel is an elite athlete. He scores high on every test. For a guy that weighs 260, he ran a 4.68 40. His broad jump was over 10 feet. He certainly has the size and athleticism to excel at edge. Now the question is if he can develop into a quality pass rusher.

Good to hear the great reference. I like what I seen. From memory, 6'3. 256. 4.68/40 28 reps on bench, which is tough... 34" vert.... Pretty good burst, judging from that....

I'd like to see what a guy like that in at ilb, on running downs... See if he can develope a mediocre pass def... And give us a great blitz option, with a couple DTs in front of him, and a 5 yd running start... Could be devastating. Definitely solid run support. He seems to be a play maker... Might be worth a try in training camp.

I always like to keep an eye out for a poor man's Brian Urlacher. Strong against the run. And pass rushing ability with big dominant DTs in front.

He is NOT an off ball linebacker brother.

And a cover corner or two...

Last year without Jaire we held up, now that same room essentially plus Hobbs and Jaire already better…plus King and Hadden still hovering…

If Jaire is staying I wouldn’t be shocked if we don’t draft anyone.

:)JJ Pegues. He plays TE, iDL, Edge, RB, PK and in a pinch perimeter CB. (Its quite a pinch when he rubs against you) Matter of fact they call him their extra shallow version of Cover 3 because he covers so much ground like 3 people in 1.

Green Bay gets a guy still sitting in the green room with pick #124.

Amazing.

I'm very happy for the young man.
So he talked to the crowd, after the pick, he is friends with Golden, was staying with him in a hotel. So they asked him if he wanted to come to the draft... and low and behold, we drafted him too. He was so excited to be a Packer

I gotta say, as I sat there watching the board and the Packers pick at #124 approaching, I was excited to see Jack Sawyer still available. Of course though, who gets drafts Sawyer? The damn Steelers at #123!! I actually like the Steelers, but man they seem to grab players in drafts, right before the Packers pick, that I am hoping the Packers draft. They did the same think in Round #1 with the selection of Derrick Harmon at #21. Then there is the Packer Fan Nightmare of the 2017 draft, when TT could have drafted TJ Watt at #29, but chose to trade out of Round 1 and take Kevin King at #33 and Vince Biegel at #108 with the pics that they received in the trade.

I think Jack Sawyer, selected 20th in Round 4, is going to end up being one of the steals of this draft.

Sawyer's nickname is T Rex. It's not because he's a moster it's due to his really short arms. Since he's playing a position where he needs to rush the passer, those short arms are quite a liability.

What do they call Melvin Ingram? His arms are shorter than Sawyers. Maybe if his arms were each an inch longer, he'd be an even better player. However, to label him "quite a liability" because his wingspan is 2/3 of an inch less than Nick Bosa's, a bit much IMO.
