PFF Grades Now "Halfway" or 8 Games In

Boy, I sure got the impression that the majority here felt that Myers was, at best, serviceable.

He was.

Myers is just shy of his best year ever for him per PFF this year so far and he is at 59.6....

Packers moved on from Myers because he played worse than Jenkins is playing right now. That and Gute wanted to justify drafting Morgan in round one.

Sad part is Myers is playing pretty good as of late. Like a 60-61 grade. He’s also on a miniscule contract. Have kept him at Center and slid Banks to RG, left Jenkins alone at LG? We’d probably be much better. Something just feels a little off, but I’m not smart enough to know how to fix it. I can just tell we spent $19mil to go backwards.

Eh...I disagree but only on the whole not the current which I know you're speaking to. This OL IMO is getting better the healthier Banks gets and Tom really too. I still think I lean to next year it is a release Jenkins time and potentially resign Rhyan as a reserve swing man (back up option at center) and draft a center. Centers are a position you can grab adaquate serving centers typically early Day3 truly and hope unless a top tier guy is there they do that.

I always like jenkins, i know he is a pro. But it feels like his heart is just not into the move to center. Thus the production is just not there IMO.

My feelings exactly. Either he is still learning the trade or doesn't really want to be there.

That and Gute wanted to justify drafting Morgan in round one.

So why did he follow it up with a FA signing at the position. I feel we'd have been better served finding a center and leaving EJ at LG.
