Since the Bears are playing @Carolina week 1 I'm guessing GB will open @ Detroit (who are @ Buffalo week 2).
So you think we start with 2 away games? I'm hoping for a 2nd straight year with a home game in week 1... maybe Miami (LaFleur vs Hafley), or the Vikings, if we do a North game.

Not Miami, they're expected to open against Raiders. Vikes are an option, just "assumed" they'd pair GB with a stronger opponent.

Looks like we will be playing the Lions, to end the season, just don't know where.

I just saw the Miami game vs Raiders. If they want a stronger game, it could be Buffalo or the Texans. Division game I'm going with Vikings

Our Bye week is listed as week 11, before the Rams game ( Rams bye is also week 11)

Miami or Vikings is my hunch week one. I am betting it is in Minnesota personally.

If they play Sunday. And then have a bye and then play on Wednesday, that's 10 days. Then they could play the following Thursday, or go until Sunday which would be 11 more days in between games.
Crazy. I remember in the Holmgren days like 1998 we played a MNF game then a bye but came back on the Thursday which was 10 days. Not a real bye. Players got a rest but it was a nightmare for coaching staffs.

I run several sports leagues. Creating the schedules to avoid field conflicts, keeping things even, avoiding playing teams twice, and other variables made it a very time-intensive process. I know that the NFL goes through all of that times ten. However, someone encouraged me to use AI so I plugged in my parameters and uploaded a spreadsheet. Bam - one minute later it created a perfect schedule. I did the same to make even teams (one is a hat league) and it did it all in a few minutes. I only needed to tweak some things afterward. Last year it took me 4 hours to make the schedule and 12+hrs to make somewhat even teams.

The NFL could easily shift towards utilizing AI for the scheduling purpose. Plug in all of the network preferences, stadium availability, preferences for division matchups at the end of the season, final standings from 2025, etc....BAM! It's time for dinner.

(edit - sorry if I just created an awful AI tangent in the schedule thread!)

I see. This would’ve been the season to get an earlier Bye week to allow extra time for guys coming back off injury. It’s ok though other than that it’s probably a good time to heal up and prepare for a stretch run

Boy those (Vikings/Jets) are a pair of favorable matchups to start. Really would be ideal starting strong and these are good, but very beatable teams.

Honestly, with the pool of teams we knew we had.....we play my top 3 preferred to play without Parsons and a likely still recovering Kraft and an OL feeling themselves out still likely....crazy... the gauntlet at the end of the year is setting up to be crazy though.
