Thanks for the article. Havel is probably right. In his last two interviews, Favre has pretty much spelled out the reasons why he should retire. The only thing left is for him to actually do it. He's on record now as saying that he's unhappy with what the team has done to improve in the off-season. If he comes back to play, those comments will dog him all season long and will probably not be appreciated by his teammates. It would be pretty unusual--maybe even unprecedented--for a team leader to go into a season saying publicly that he doesn't think his team has done anything to improve.
