Ok. We'll see.
As horrible as you say my team is, we beat you in Lambo and you got a skillful albeit......lucky field goal block to keep you from being swept by.....what you guys would call the worst team in da league....so I take great solace in that.

Beat our backups because we didn’t want to risk further injury. Go look. Who was our leading WR, QB and RB?? GB went vanilla the second Jordan got banged up. Although it’s funny that had Malik started he was on pace to outplay Caleb.

I never said Chicago is currently horrible. You’re just sore because I reset your expectations. I said you’ve got a long ways to go to start bragging or talking smack Try stringing a couple playoff appearances first. Until then it’s all hogwash. You act like you’ll sweep our division. If anything I’m doing you a favor by Tempering expectations so you’re not discouraged or thoroughly disappointed. It takes a minute to ramp up an entire team into a smooth flowing machine. Teams rarely go from 5 Wins to Superbowl. It took Rodgers 3 seasons to get to there and imo his Offense and Defense were both better than 2025 Chicago in the lead up period to a SB (2009)
Furthermore this isn’t any easy period to be steam rolling NFC North teams. Not for any of us. Just getting to 10 Wins will be an accomplishment this season and that’s for everyone.

Which leads me to my next thought. Around the time the NFC North starts to simmer down? IF it simmers down at all..,Caleb (who so far appears to be a decent QB) will be looking to get paid. @Calebs Revenge This is bad timing for Chicago imo because your schedule is brutal while your QB is coming into his prime on a Rookie deal. It has similarities to GB’s bad timing when Brady moved into our Conference in 2020. This is especially true when everyone in your Division is really good. Not sure if you are aware @Calebs Revenge but the Chicago plays an opponent 2024 Win Loss ratio is .571. That means you’ll face the #2 toughest schedule in 2025. As a comparison the 49ers have the easiest schedule (SOS) with a .415 Win rate. As one proof of how SOS affects a team, in the AFC the team with the easiest schedule has had a Winning record in 7 consecutive seasons. The last 2 seasons the easiest schedule improved Win total by an average of +6 Wins each. Scheduling makes a difference.

I say this every year. Our own team isn’t the only team getting better. Being good isn’t enough. You have to be adaptable and good.

And all I'm saying is whatever Rogers did or Brett Favre did or anyone else has no bearing on what my team is going to do this season......
we have very very very good personnel. We just had an IDIOT half retrd running it!!!
Today.....we've turned the keys over to a mad lab savage, and the whole league is on notice!!!
I was here last last year thinking that even Eberflus couldn't even screw this up....and I was hyped.....but he did...oh gosh did Eberflus belly flop.
If Ben Johnson fails, I'll be here .........but I guarantee Ben has already spoken with Tyrique Stevenson.... and if there's ever even similar repeat of what happened against Washington, you're not even getting on the plane back to Chicago my guy....
But I really don't think Ben Johnson is going to be made a fool of.......so let's do this.
Like I said, either way, even if we go oh 17 I'll still be here running my mouth....in a respectful way and trying to be funny, but I believe in my team and that will never change......

Yeah...... it's almost like we had the dumbest coach in the league trying to lose on purpose ha ha ha ha ha....
Sums it up well. I don't know how anyone could look at Eberflus and see a HC. It will be interesting to see how Johnson works out. He has a lot of talent to work with, so I think he'll do well in Chicago. We'll know in January.

That loss to the Commanders might have been avoided if that Bear corner, or safety, hadn't been paying more attention to riling up the crowd than playing the ball. That lack of discipline was just mind-boggling.

This is kind of out of the scope of this topic, but it has appeared to shift a bit to coaching. My personal take is that if a coach gets to the NFL it wasn't luck. They know their X's and O's. The difference is motivation. However, I truly think it comes down to the players. A team needs the horses to win. The Lions had the most talented roster last season but it got picked away by injury and they couldn't overcome it. It wasn't lack of coaching. The Packers were a few players away from being able to compete with the elite teams. It wasn't lack of coaching. A lot of these teams that are doormats is because of horrible drafting and player personnel. I think way too much focus is put on the coaches. We know it is a QB driven league and it is much easier to win with an elite QB. Player personnel is much more important than the coach that is in place. Again, my point is, you're not winning without having a very talented roster. I don't care who the coach is.

Agreed. A coach can't teach hip flexibility to LVN, for example. I'm talking about position coaches for the most part. I think HCs and the coordinators can have a huge impact on strategy and in-game modification. Still need the horses to get it done though.

I will also never believe that Ryan Poles. wanted Eberflus as his coach.....
If everyone recalls correctly, they hired Eberflus and then they hired Ryan Poles.
And of course he came in saying he thinks Eberflus was absolutely the right choice for coach and he loves him and totally endorses the brass' decision to hire him........what else is he supposed to say is like a 40-year-old first time GM.
And Chase Claypool was a mess, bad mistake....he had some made moves though. I think he made the second best trade in NFL history, got us Caleb Williams.....a bunch of other pieces/players and I think he's only just getting started!!!!!
Now that he has the coach that he has always wanted.......and
I'm dead serious.......I think Ben didn't take another job last year because he kne Flus would get fired and he wanted to coach Caleb and the Chicago Bears.

What about going for it a lot? Like detroit. That's a head coach decision. Actually, I see more possible negatives than positives. That stupid filly push is an exception when it's 2 yards or less. But detroit goes for it in some crazy situations. And that could really bite them. Especially in the playoffs. Can you imagine that causing a playoff game loss? Easy for fans to scream for it. Just thought I'd bring it up.

Yeah....... calling timeouts appropriately is a huge aspect of the coaches job and hopefully they excel at it......unlike Eberflus hahahahhahaha what a Jgoff he was/is.
All of hard knocks was alike about oh look at his nice wardrobe and new haircut.....

And my answer to that is y'all seem to be trying pretty hard that first game and we were in the same scenario with five seconds to go so I think that argument that y'all weren't trying is whack, weak and complete garbage.

Can't blame Johnson for wanting to go to the Bears. Turn around a perennial bad/unlucky franchise that is now well-stocked with talent and a very good QB.

I didn't know Eberfus was hired ahead of Poles. Another example of the ineptness of the Bears' organization.

Yup. And don't get me wrong. I loved Virginia. I literally would've licked her feet with my tongue to be close to George Halas' daughter, but she kept the organization in the 1940s when it's 2023, so I'm happy that the organization is going in a new direction and a positive direction. I wish she just hadn't been the impediment that kept us from getting there all those years.

Now we can move into the 21st-century she just was queen on high and what she wanted is what she got and even at 101 years old, she still had her faculties, and you will respect the name of George Halas and everything that this organization stands for......and if you don't, there's the door.

I never said our scrubs didn’t try

Imagine if you Won every game you were in on the last drive. GB would have like 10 more wins just in the last 2 seasons.

We lost five or six games. I can't remember the number on the last player of the game or in overtime so I feel your pain and can make the same argument.

And weren't your scrubs in the same position that your so-called great starters were in......in Chicago?

It's June now and we're going to have eight more weeks of screaming at each other. How awesome or how horrible our teams are until preseason starts.
Its going to be an exciting season and lets be honest.......some of us are gonna do good and some of us are gonna fail.
That's just how it is.
Looking at the numbers and how it's gone in the past 30 years.....I'd say my guys are due for a good year...... and you guys are due to fall off a cliff.
It's just the law of averages.
And I will add Detroit was horrible for 70 years and now in the past three years they mentioned as maybe the second best team in the NFC why is that?
Was it the coach who threatened to bite peoples kneecaps off....or was it the offensive genius who got Jared Goff to be top 7 in the league...and designed a very dangerous offense?
I'll wait.
And I can't wait for the start of the season almost as bad as I want to play you guys.....I want Washington in week six so freakin bad.
I'd literally give my pinky finger to smash those guys by 40........gladly.
To sweep y'all also.....take both pinkies. They're worthless cause wifey don't like the shocker!!!!!!!!
Hahahahahahah
If u know........u know.

I will admit that the Bears played us very close last year. We were fortunate to get out of Chicago with a win by blocking that field goal. Now in the second game, this is just what I have heard, so take it with a grain of salt: We wanted to win, but didn't want to risk his starters the whole game, so MLF's hope was to jump out to an early lead, take out the stars, and hope the Packers could hold on. So I will give credit to the Bears that they foiled that plan by preventing our jumping out to an early lead. Then when Love got hit hard, MLF wasn't going to risk him further.
